Purdue has had 6 players defect since last March, and their 7"1" inside guy is about to turn pro. They will almost surely be picked to finish last in the B10 next year.

Meanwhile, we are losing all of our starters save Richardson.

The big question isn't what will Hart do, but what will Cuonzo do. If Purdue doesn't cut Painter loose this year and Martin is bent on going home....surely he wouldn't take a lateral move that ties him down.

I'm predicting CCM stays through next season, overachieves somewhat with a squad picked near the SEC cellar, and then packs up the family and heads back to West Lafayette. (caveat: move this scenerio ahead 1 year if Painter gets the axe now).

Game decisions seem to be a big problem with a lot of folks. I was just curious as to how many years Martin had as a head coach.

If we win another game today and CCM bolts to another job then at least we made some decent bucks in the tourney to throw out at the next coach.

I think Martin's heart is and will always be in the Big 10. I think he is a great coach, he's just not the right fit for this type of fan base. Our fan base wants a high energy type coach. One that will scream, one that will get out and market the program and that will be involved with the fans. Martin isn't that. Doesn't mean he's a bad coach because there are plenty of great coaches that are like that. They need a Butch Jones/Bruce Pearl type coach that's going to get them fired up. Regardless I think Martin will succeed wherever he goes, but I think he would be better somewhere else.
