I totally agree that was the condition of the program when Dooley was hired and that is why he was able to get the job, but I also believe that the program is in much better shape now than it was then and that there is much more talent on the team to work with. This is why I think that we have a better chance of getting a name coach now.

He won more games with less talent. Now he has talent he is winning les games. Backwards if you ask me. If you can coach you have to get the most out of the talent that you have and he never has. There are coaches with less talent and better records. VANDY plays better then we do with less talent, but they are starting to get the talent for next year class they already have 11 4* recruits and he only have 5. Coaching is what we need not just a big name. We need a damn good coach.

I'm with you, but a name coach is the only thing at this time that is going to keep people coming and buying Tennessee logo items. I'm afraid that anything less will be almost as bad as keeping Dooley next year if we lose 2 more games the rest of the season.

If Dooley is fired, there will be a short term excitement (hope) no matter who is hired. If it's a big splash he'll have a little longer rope, but that's it.
