I think we can all agree that the officiating sure did look like it was favorable at times. They got some heat but in the end got away with it.

With that said, do they continue doing this every year from now on? It is a cash cow to have the two highest ranked teams playing what is pretty much an unofficial National Championship game.

ESPN loves it, SEC loves it. Everyone has fat pockets. So what keeps them from trying to sit this up year in and year out?

Posted this in another thread.

Maybe a better fit here.

Not voting.....

However.

I would like the game to be fought with dueling officials.....That is to say a game were the officiating is so bad and who a particular official is pulling for is easily identifiable, that the game is decided on a reviewable play with Slive having to come out on the field to announce the winner.

But that's probably just me.

My bad. Didn't mean to step on any toes.

CBC has 10,000 posts, but I wouldn't necessarily call them "thread contributions." :p

Anybody with half a brain will recall what happened this season. Florida and Bama got many lucky breaks from refs on the road to the SECCG.

That might get magnified if the winner loses to Texas. And honestly, if the NCG were a week after the SEC's, I would probably pick Texas to win. But the NCG is so far away there's no way to tell sometimes.

While I agree that the officials left alot to be desired this seasos, I also believe that these are the two best teams in the conference so I am looking forward to the game. Don't like either one of them so I have no idea how I want it to come out.

It's all been worked out now. It's going to be UF vs UA in the SEC title game for the next decade. It's rigged. Slive hates CLK. He'll ensure that UT will never sniff the SEC title game as long as CLK is the HC at UT.

Neither team gets to this game unbeaten without some officiating love. In my mind the winner should have a asterisk beside their name. It won't happen next year, the Tebow lovefest is over and Bama plays like 6 teams coming off their bye week. One of these teams is likely to make the Championship game, but i wouldn't count on both being there again. Slive and the league got what they wanted.
