I know but its not us specifically missing out on 10MM. I'd love to be there and yeah it'd mean a little more but its really just another consolation game. There is only one bowl that matters.

Are you quietly promoting a Div 1 playoff? :eek:hmy: If so, I agree...

GA definitely deserved the Sugar over TN. It was nice winning the East and playing for the SEC CG, but those 3 regular season blowout losses hurt us, and rightly so.

I think GA rolls against Hawaii. Hawaii may come out on fire early but, as the game calms down, GA takes off. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Hawaii just isn't that good. Overtime wins against LA Tech (who 0-8 in the SEC Ole Miss beat 24-0) and San Jose State (who lost to LA Tech) and a 2 point win over Nevada is pitiful.

i think UGA gets beat by Hawaii. I just have a OU/Boise St feeling about this game.

I certainly hope I am wrong though. Go Dawgs!

No I dont think UGA deserved the Sugar, they deserved the Rose Bowl.

These are gonna be some of the worst bowl games ever.

Thanks for the kind words. So how do you all think we will do against Hawaii?

IMO Hawaii is a fraud. Yes, they have a good quarterback but until they beat a quality opponent, I'm not a believer. I think UGA wins by 2-3 TDs.

You know, so do I ... a little bit.

Hawaii is going to be extremely pumped up to play this game. I hope UGA brings their best game... everyone here knows this has been a weird year for college football.

You deserved to be there! But I wouldn't really want to be in your shoes.....If you win its because you were suppose to! If you lose....................

There's around a $10 million difference.

Actually more like a $14 million gap.

you do know that Georgia takes that 10 million, hands it to the SEC and it gets redistributed to the league?

Distributed, but not equally.

And it will be a very interesting Sugar Bowl. Hawaii is dangerous. UGA will need to play a solid defensive game or it could get ugly. UGA will need to get the lead and then grind it out on the ground. Boring game favors UGA, flashy game favors the Warriors.

yes, GA deserves the Sugar given how the season played out. with LSU going to the title game, it makes their case pretty secure.

as for the game itself, i have a hard time believing Hawaii is going to be able to deal with a team that will be the most physical they've played on either side of the ball all season. GA will run thru Hawaii.

defensively though, GA hasn't seen an offense like Hawaii's either. i expect a lot of points, and GA to win by double digits.....44-31 type game.

I know that I am more than happy to be playing there. Just wandering if you felt betrayed?

You guys deserve it. I am not upset about it at all.

Hawaii is a scary team IMO. They obviously have a high powered offense. Their defense is better than in years past. They will also have a big chip on their shoulder being unbeaten and not getting into the big game.

It should be a great game. I will be pulling for you guys since I always pull for the SEC in bowl games.

good luck

Deserved? I guess so from a pure stand point regarding when your losses were. No offense to you personally Fadeproof but I hope Hawaii pounds your eyes shut.

Truthfully I don't have a problem with us not being in the Sugar Bowl, however I have a problem with the way the loser of the SEC Championship game is treated.

In this years case, LSU forgoes the Sugar to play in the NC game, thus allowing an SEC team to be chosen to play in the Sugar. In my mind it would make the most sense that the SEC Champ Loser would be the first in line to represent the conference in the Sugar, under this senario.

However, I can't argue with the way UGA has turned it around since they were destroyed in Neyland. Good luck against Hawaii.

Here's to an SEC sweep in the bowl games! :beerf:

Yes, Congrats. UGA heeded the call and delivered.I'm actually impressed, don't like em, but never the less impressed.

The Vols definitely didn't deserve to go, after handing the SECCG to LSU on a platter. UGA "deserved" it as much or more than anyone else, i guess. it is what it is.

I think you do...

You all were playing as well as anybody at the end of the season...

Some people on here would point to the UT/UGA game and say that is why you don't deserve it but as good as that win was for us I think the way your team rebounded from it proved to be an even better thing...

On a side note...I don't for one second believe you deserve to be in the NC instead of LSU like some of your fans are saying...

I firmly believe that a team should at least be their conference champion before they get a shot...even if the rules say they don't have to be

Fair or not, UTK is lucky to be playing where they are. Were it not for the new rule about the SEC Bowl tie-ins that are played on Jan. 1 being required to host the SECCG loser at least once every 4 years the Vols would be headed to the Chick-fil-A or Music City.

Knowshon will run for 200+ yards. They'll be breaking out the Herschel comparisons.
Brown will probably have another 120+ yds.

Hawai'i hasn't seen a team this physical all year. They'll fold like a cheap tent.

I agree. just don't see them stopping Georgia's running game.

Hawaii might surprise alot of people but I still think GA will win. I think it might be somewhat of a close game though.
I do think GA deserves to go. We had our chance and blew it.

well it cant all be blamed on ainge. There were pleanty of other factors as well. We could assign blame on alot of things but in the end it doesnt matter we lost.
