So serious question, do we actually have a SEC level QB on the roster?

We dont even have ACC or Big 10 level QBs.

Otherwise, two of the guys playing wouldnt be here.

And outside SC and Vandy, it is hard to see either of them knocking any of the other starters out of a job so far.

And it is scary to think that the QB position might be our best position/group on the team. This team was 5-7 or a 6-6 team from the get go. It is going to take a few years before we are comsistently 9-3 or 10-2.

Has anybody else noticed that our QB does not back up at all when snap comes .. looks like he is too close to line of scrimmage .. the line is in their face when they release ball .. or is it just me ??

We have 3 winnable QBs on the roster IMHO! We’ve done something already we haven’t done in forever by scoring 129 pts in the 1st 3 games!

Clemson has the #1 player from 2yrs ago and those idiots thought he should start over Trevor. Well Clemson sux right now and barely squeezed out a 14-6 win at home over GATech! If DJ were on our team you people would be screaming to put the back up in!

You would think so, considering that they are on a division one SEC team. There are good and bad QB’s all over the country. The quality of the team has a lot to do with it, also. Division two schools have produced NFL Super Bowl winning QB’s, are they inferior because they didn’t “play in the SEC?” No. It’s individual talent & work ethic that makes a player good. Is the SEC loaded with QB talent this year? Doesn’t look like it to me. I don’t see any Heisman or O’Brien contenders so far. Only one QB can play for Alabama.

UT’s QB’s have shown to be serviceable but they are certainly not stars. Their poor performance is compounded by a deficient offensive line, small and inexperienced RB’s, and WR’s with hands of stone. Let’s keep things in perspective here.

Watched UCF vs Louisville Thursday. I kept asking myself why Tennessee can't have that level QB play.
There are good and bad QB’s at every school in all conferences. This idea that players aren’t good unless they play in the SEC is dumb, IMO. What is a “SEC level QB?” The best passers so far in the SEC are Rogers & Corral, and they are hovering in the #10 range in the nation.

the answer is no. hooker is the best we got rn. Milton can pass to the end zone, but we don't have the receivers, and Bailey needs another year with recruiting.
What exactly do you guys expect Bailey to do in another year? I mean you don’t suddenly develop arm strength at age 21 especially when you weighed 240 in high school and still had a mediocre arm. The kid doesn’t have the arm strength to play at this level, and it is blatantly obvious.

Arm strength is one of the most overrated statistics for a QB.

Hold on a friggin second here!

Harrison Bailey has been a multiple Heisman winning QB destined for the Hall of Fame for the past 3 weeks. And now a bunch (most) of you are talking him down like he can't even play in the SEC?

Is there no shame on these boards? (Rhetorical Q)
