I know we got roasted for not playing tough against Kentucky but as I watch these games I'm trying to figure out how their supposed to do that with jekyll and hyde officiating. Against LSU Schofield aggressively drove to the basket and got contact and nothing. Earlier in the game he pretty much got shoulder blocked and knocked down on while on defense and no whistle. I also don't how you're supposed to play defense aggressively when they call a foul when you touch a player. Officiating today takes all of the energy out of that style of play and causes you to be hesitant which allows more drives to the basket.

I know one thing and it may be an unpopular opinion, Grant has got to stop flopping so much. He has really starting trying to oversell calls (he's not getting the calls he was getting).

I don't think he's flopping. But I think it would help his cause to play a little tougher, if that makes sense. So, agree, he needs to stop overselling.

Grant has definitely been doing some flopping lately

Grant has always been a flopper and usually get some calls with it.

During the Kentucky game the announcers said they had never seen him on the ground so much and I made the comment he's always on the floor that much

LSU was likely a season high as I counted 12 times he hit the deck

Flopping is faking a hit or what seems like a hard hit. Not sure I have seen Grant truly flop. Does he sell it or be a little over dramatic? Yes, but I don’t think I have ever seen him go down without actually taking a decent blow.

He definitely got thrown down by Reid, and he definitely got an elbow by Day. He was bodied quite well all game against UK. It’s the style that he plays, and I think they have missed more calls on him as an offensive player than he has so called “flopped.”

When you have biased officiating, such as Anthony Jordan in the LSU game, you're going to get some strange calls. The SEC office needs to do a better job researching these officials backgrounds ( Jordan grew up in Baton Rouge as an LSU fan) before allowing them to officiate certain teams games. IMO, Jordan should be banned from officiating ANY further SEC games. If that doesn't happen, the SEC office is telling us they really don't give a crap.

If he plays tougher, he will be fouled out by midway the second half.. I think he has been coached to "take it easy" as loosing him almost insures a loss.

We all complain about "foul calls" the numbers will usually speak for themselves. What is not talked about so much is when the calls come. But for me, the non-calls that effect our play (on offense or defense) are usually more important.

Kentucky and LSU both got away with playing rough/dirty on Williams, for sure.

Good point. If most of us got bumped likes grant does every night, we would be out for 2 weeks with bruised ribs. I’ve never seen him fall without taking a good blow

The SEC office only cares about Bammer in the fall and Kensucky in the spring. Garbage conference. I want out.

It’s all because of the Vandy game. The Vols had a tough game, but then he carried us. Everybody that wasn’t a Vol fan knew that couldn’t keep happening. Calling it straight would make us unbeatable. Against Ky we tried to shoot our way out of the funk while they caught fire. This business with the LSU fan being a ref is weak. How does that even happen?

Yeah but the Head of SEC Officials , Mark Whitehead, is an LSU guy, even has a son that attends LSU. Corruption all over the place!
