So pro bull riders wear helmets now?

I don't like it at all
It's certainly different watching riders in helmets. Hats were what I'd always known until about 10 years ago I think. At first, it seemed a bit odd, but the more I thought about it, the more I could see the move for safety. I'd watched a documentary about some of the legendary bulls in the sport. They highlighted Bodacious and his decimation of those who tried to ride him. If you've never seen the ride, check out Hedeman's. What was crazy was that he actually drew him again and said thanks, but no thanks. You get your face rearranged by that monster and you'd be nuts to go back for more.

And I understand the helmets. Getting thrown off possibly getting hit, landing on your head, I get it but it's just such a weird thing to watch. When I was a kid I used to watch Rodeo shows all the time and then I for a while and then the last Rodeo competition I saw, I saw the helmets and it just looked unnatural

The thing is, unlike the stupid targeting rules in football that make QBs porcelain dolls, helmets on rodeo riders DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING about the sport.

It's as though you're screaming at the clouds like an old man, yet you found starting a thread about it necessary.

Id say the majority of threads are unnecessary
