So, now what?

8 or 9 wins and sneaking into the SECCG is not a successful season when you have "the dean" of SEC coaches and his handpicked offensive guru playing a Senior QB..

There's the rub isn't it. The multiple personality trait of this team is usually attributed to youth. Yet, there is really what should be enough veteran leadership that that should not be the case. But then I'd just be pulling out one aspect of an across the board trend. The very thing I said I was not going to do....

This thread did get me thinking though about whether any coach has been fired after winning a conference division.

As I said above, I'm at a place where I think I could do it. But make no mistake, the backlash would be overwhelming...

 Is it possible to be consistent at being inconsistent?

OWH, i think you and are in the same place...i look at this team play, i watch other teams play, i see our Coach and direction of hte program for what it is, and then i look at the standings and all i can say is.....this does not compute.

I'm just curious why TN didn't make any kind of adjustments at halftime. I know we were up by 21, but they had to have know that SC was going to come out and play much better in the 2nd half, and that they would definitely be making adjustments...DUH!

Now I will answer my own question. I work here at UT, and one of our instructors has one of the football players in his class. He said he asked him what they were doing at halftime, and he said "nothing, we just went to the bathroom, and had something to drink". "We were told we pretty much had the game won, so we really didn't do or talk about anything".
This is VERY disturbing!

I find that last part very hard to believe. These coaches have all been involved in their fair share of comebacks and lost games and definately know better to assume the game was over. The guy that went to the bathroom and got something to drink probably wasn't planning on seeing the field anyway.

He did. He's a starter on offense

Sorry but I have a hard time believing that the players were told the game was won. Those coaches have seen enough Spurrier to know better.
Exactly, as bad as everyone hates Fulmer he knows good and darn well what a Spurrier lead team can do and I don't believe he would ever tell the team to "pack it in we got this one"

:eek:lol: That's the best way to put it.
