There is still bad info about bowl participation. Grades ending in December wouldn't have been a factor for a December bowl.
Suspensions for ky would have been the same for the bowl. There were 3.

I know a player who just came into the program not going to mention any names but he is 6'7 375lbs who told me he thinks Dooley is a switch hitter TIFWIW

Dools had his reasons for saying what he did, even if it didn't work. Crump has his reasons as well. In Crump's case if I remember right, his recruiter/position coach is now gone (Thompson). So he is probably bummed and doesn't want to sell out for Sal this late in his stay at UT. Will be his loss and another player's gain if it continues.

they were screaming at the 15-20 players that were not going to be bowl eligible had they beat Kentucky. included several starters.

Wow, just friggin wow. Says a lot about the mindset of the players at the end of the season.

That's not right. The fall semester was over the first of December, they would go with the fall semester grades for a December bowl.

I was just talking to a new employee at work and I noticed her Titans cup. Told her how I'm a huge Titans fan. She says she's a bigger Vols fan because her brother plays for UT. I'm not going to give away his name but he's a junior and listed at 6'1 220 on utsports.com.

I asked her what he thought of Dooley and she said that he's ok, but that her brother loves Sal. I asked why the "ehhh Dooley's ok" response. She gave me an example. She said "you know when Fulmer was here he was all about 'we're a family' and Saban is all about 'this is a business, everyone has a job to do." So I said yeah I understand that. She said well Dooley preaches "we're a family" but with the team he's very "business like" and it annoys some of the players.

I asked if most players feel like that and she said no it's mostly the older guys. I assume these are the guys he didn't recruit. She said the younger guys actually like Dooley.

One thing that concerned me is that she said her brother isn't that into football. Well she said he's indifferent about it, and that track was more his thing.

She said that the players love Herman Lathers, and that he's the only defensive leader on the team at the moment. She said that a lot of guys on defense say they wished he was able to stay another year after this because they're not sure who the leader will be next year.

She also said that the coaches want her brother to get bigger because he's only 218 at the moment and they want him closer to 240. She said he's at 4% body fat and just can't gain. They go out to eat and he has two meals and still can't gain any weight.(wish I had that problem)

She said before the Kentucky game that the coaches were very negative. Saying "hope you boys got your bags packed cause you're not going to a bowl game" I know that's just a motivation ploy so I didn't view that as negative. Had plenty of coaches tell us that when we were taking an opponent too lightly. She said the staff can be pretty harsh on the players and negative.

On a side note I'm ready for a great season. Hope that the guys buy into what they're teaching over there. If we can pull out a win against NC State it will be a great sign. I think that we will since NC State tends to start the season slow. They also got blown out by the only common opponent that we had in common with them last year. I think they lost to Cincinnati 44-12 or something, and we all know what we did to Cinci with a healthy team. I'm sticking with 9wins including a bowl win, so 8 regular season. GO VOLS.

Ops coworker is a head case. Can't take anything she says seriously.

Not every player will like the coach. Geez, I doubt any of the Alabama players actually "like" Saban.

My concern with Dooley is whether he knows how to motivate a big-time college football team. I guess only time will tell.

Even if blind, in the first 60 secs, I would have shuddered, puked and then turned off the video.

OP said she was a UT fan "because" her brother played for them. Not that she's a life long fan. My guess is she knows jack s**t about anything UT before her brother started playing here.

Never played for Fulmer.

Doesn't say he "played" for Fulmer....he didn't play for Saban either. He is a Jr. and is 6'1" /220 lbs. Makes sense that he is the guy I listed. Speaks about CSS and Lathers. The guy I listed is a Jr. LB with the right size. I am betting it is Raiques Crump. If you read his bio he sounds like a solid player. Hopefully CSS can get a little more out of him this year.

Edit: Sorry, the player was already posted.
