Just beat Florida and I'll be happy.

Seriously, some of you folks have a memory of about 7 days. As long as Butch can retain our defensive staff and give up input on offense, we have a pretty strong way forward. The coaching turnover can hopefully flip our 2017 class to a respectable level if we make the right moves. We will probably win out and have an outside shot at an SEC East championship.

This is a bad year to be in a coaching search competing (potentially) with the likes of Texas, USC, LSU, and ND.

Go Vols.

Butch said we'd be fine (for this week). Seems like some of the bricks are cracking badly.

I fully expected a 10-2 or 9-3 season with loses to UF, Bama or Texas A&M. I knew the 4 game stretch was nearly impossible to get through undefeated. I argued over and over again with Dobbs4Hiesman and others that anything more than 10 wins was possible but unlikely this year.

And yes I am satisfied that they ended the streak to Florida, the way things were going I thought they may never beat them again. But, the upset loss to SC is unacceptable.

Regardless of the rest of the season just beating Florida is progress for this program.

I said beat Florida and Georgia, I'll be happy. And I still stand by it. We can still have a 10 win season. We can still win the East. Funny how quickly ppl get spoiled and compare this team to a Dooley coached team. Butch is definitely winning more games and giving us a brand again. We've had a rough slide but the season isn't over. I'm still proud to be a Vol

I predicted 8-4. I thought we would go 1-3 during the 4 game stretch and be upset by one of the "easy" teams. We are ahead of where I thought we would be and I still think we've got a shot at the SEC championship considering UK is the only East team to beat a West team this year and UF is about to play 2 in a row.

Is our record improving each year? Yes. Are there glaring problems that should give some level of a cause for concern? Yes.

There you have it. We aren't out of the woods by a long shot.

People were saying we would probably win out prior to the SC game, too.
