So much disrespect for Coach Fulmer on this board.

It's quite sad, in my opinion.

Those of you praising Kiffin for speaking out and bashing Fulmer for not doing that need to realize that they are obviously two different personalities.

Kiffin - Like Meyer and Miles

Fulmer - Richt, Carroll, Bowden, Paterno, Beamer, etc.

LOL...sad stuff.

Fulmer probably would have had Brown.....BECAUSE he's in the mold of Richt. Not sure why some disagree with that. Brown liked Fulmer.

Just unbelievable. Embrace a guy calling everyone out and not the guy who gave his sweat and tears for UT football for over forty years.

ya we should've kept fulmer and let him continue to run the program into the ground, and always be in contention for the Fulmer Cup.

Never said that. No one knows what the offseason will be like under Kiffin either. Let's see where we're at in the Fulmer Cup come August.

I'm talking about disrespect. Big difference.

I will not let myself disrespect CPF for what he has done for UT, but no matter who you are, you have to admit that there is new life in the UT program since CLK was hired, something that was missing prior to his arrival.

CLK has already instilled more discipline in two months, that CPF did in 40 years.

We have a load of idiot fans. Nothing new. Probably became a fan just a few years ago and wasn't around during our run in the 90s.

Hey hoss, the nineties are history, by about a decade now. You Fulmeristas are like a chronic disease, treat it and it gets knocked down for awhile, but keeps coming back.

I don't "make fun" of Fulmer, but I, along with the majority of UT supporters, thought he should be replaced to stop the bleeding of the program. It shows a lack of respect and intelligence to call him "Phil" or make doughnut jokes. I respect and acknowlege everything he did for this university, but I'll never put him on this pedistal that some in the volnation do. His questionable rise to the HC position is something that I've always held against him...and in the last ten or so years he portrayed characteristics that I found unflattering and shameful. It was time for a change so let's not concern ourselves with the old but consume ourselves with the new.

you just called out a "load" of TN fans as "idiots"...take your own advise

LOL....I don't consider anyone that continues to call out CPF a "fan" of UT football.

CPF gave forty years of sweat and tears to UT football. He deserves better, period.

Just goes to show that the bandwagon is continual thing. Jump on. Jump off. Jump on. Jump off.

Also, I was referring to the idiot that called him Phil.

Absolutely right but it's like some can't praise CLK without bashing CPF. It's utterly ridiculous.

uh, no...you called out more than one person with your post.
I am not disagreeing with your op. Just the two faced post.

Fulmer didn't "give" crap. He was paid handsomely for something that he loved. Very few people in the real world ever have that opportunity. So enough of the "sacrifice" hokum.

You know that is a very easy thing to say, given how outspoken Kiffin is.

Kiffin is a guy who says some things that are out of line, but always seems to do the right thing.

I'd rather have Kiffin that stumbles when speaking, rather than a guy like Meyer, or Saban, or even Fulmer who always said the right thing but had a much lower standard when it came to action.

Words aren't worth anything...just ask Utah, Bowling Green, The Miami Dolphins, and LSU.

Have fun buying into media perception easily dissected and scrutinized without much substance.

I'll take the guy who tells kids to go somewhere where they can have the best chance at a good college career, over Fulmer who desperately wanted a highly touted recruiting class, did not demand discipline from his team, played favorites, and accepted raises despite what everyone knew was lackluster performance.
