Since I'm an old retired fart, I have time to read lots of web sites and listen to a lot of sports radio.

I have seen and heard it said Definitely one way or the other that the following 4 guys are or are not coming back:

Cam Sutton NFL draft?
JRM NFL draft?
Marcus Jackson 6th year application?
Curt Maggitt 6th year application?

Anybody know any of these guys & have inside info?

Cam is like a 85% chance leaving
JRM would say like 40-50% leaving
Marcus is not coming back
Maggitt is like 98% not coming back

No inside info but I think Maggitt and Jackson are gone but Sutton and JRM will be back to increase their draft stock on the best SEC team.

It's all speculation. But butch has all but said its not worth it unless you are a top 15 pick. So I expect cam and JRM to be back. Cam has a 2nd - 3rd round grade right now. I don't know his family financial situation, but he could definitely increase his stock by returning.

All undecided, according to Butch as of yesterday's news conference. He didn't explicitly mention Jackson, but did the other three, by name.

So even the young men and their families don't know yet. No way for us to.

It takes skill to pull percentages out of your a$$ without leaving splinters.

At this point, speculation is speculation.

I think next years team has a chance to be very special. If Cam and JRM return it will be all the better. I hope they want to be part of that. GO VOLS

i think as far as what makes the most sense, and what is most likely, Sutton is gone, Maybin stays and Marcus and Curt won't be allowed to come back.

Sutton would be making a huge mistake leaving early. I will say it again he is not a physically aggressive cb and is not big enough for safety in the NFL. No team is going to waste a 1st or 2nd round draft pick on a punt return specialist imo but I could be wrong. We can debate and argue this till Hell freezes over but he is not a lock down cb.

I could see Maybin leaving and doing well after he puts on a few more pounds but again I don't see him being a 1st or 2nd round pick imo

I see Cam as iffy in the 2nd. Makes no sense to leave unless your getting the guaranteed money only available to 1st and 2nd rounders.

I agree. If he gets graded high by the drafting service, he goes. If not, he stays.

Not physically aggressive? Have we been watching the same Cam Sutton?

Maggitt could come back if he wanted. Both years missed were medical. NCAA wouldn't have a reason not to let him. Most think he will choose not to return, however.

I agree with others that Sutton and JRM should return. At the beginning of the year, Sutton was projected to be a first round. After an okay year that didn't meet his previous production, he fell far enough that it's probably better for him to stay. But like JP said, nobody knows until the players decide for themselves.

You could argue that Sutton helped his draft stock with his punt returning ability

This is my thinking as well. Though I think Jackson COULD come back if he wants to pursue that option. I'm just not sure if he wants to.

You think that in a redraft that Cordarrelle Patterson gets picked in the first round?...solely as a returner? Extreme example I know, Sutton has always been a better DB than Patterson as a WR, but NFL teams or more likely to draft a returner in a lower round or sign them as an UFA than go the Devin Hester route in the first two rounds. IMO Sutton's return ability only affects a tiebreaker between Sutton and an equally rated DB.
