They will be looking for big big names. However, if they were to pick Kiffin, their program may never recover. They have been recruting well over the past 3 years or so and whoever is hired will not have to start from ground zero. It will be a good job for someone. Almost as good as Tennessee.

Doubt Michigan would even look Butch's way.

The Harbaughs are not leaving the NFL. Jim might look to the Dolphins future opening.

Les Miles will use Michigan to get a pay raise.

I think they end up with Tyrone Wheatley.

Their AD will go after a big time coach. Tennessee is Butch's dream job. Not worried about him leaving. I would say Les Miles is their first choice. Then the Rutgers coach who was at Tampa Bay in the NFL. Jim Harbaugh will be on their list. You know Michigan might go after Saban.

I just couldn't imagine Butch leaving, certainly not having done anything on the field "yet". More over, I think Butch WANTS to be at UT. Hell even though Bruce Pearl went to Auburn you know he loves UT and Knoxville and I bet had we come calling he'd have taken the job (not that we would have for a multitude of politically stupid reasons). I really don;t believe there is anything to worry about here.

UT is cheap with the money. Cheeks and cronies more concerned with academics. We would not match a hugh offer. So, depends how high they go if they want him AND become desperate because others pass.

There are two things we learned about CBJ:

1. He precisely knew what he was getting when he took the TN job.
2. He's competitive.

So, he wanted to coach a "big" program at some point. If Michigan had offered him 1 1/2 years ago, he would surely have taken that job. Instead, we offered. He knows what he's got here, and I'm sure he wouldn't want to lose 2 years of work on his way to win something.

Butch will stay, for sure.:hi:
