So it seems Pops will not be returning either

Why do you think that? Not being a SmA, just wondering what you see.

I think if Mostella gets cleared their backcourt has a chance to be one of the top backcourts in the league. So I was thinking they might be competitive because of that. Could be wrong though. They may struggle to get to .500. Just don't know.

Only if you refreshed your feed before he deleted.

Idk, I've saw deleted tweets before that when I scroll through show up, but then after you refresh it they're gone. Didn't see anything from him last night and that would've stuck out.

Also, if he did say that and has now deleted it, wouldn't that suggest he's likely gone anyways?

Best of luck to Pops. I think that this one was a foregone conclusion soon after CDT arrived.

Don't have to have a low post offensive game to be a 5 in this system.

And if he wants to play more minutes than he has either of his first 2 years he will play whatever coach Tyndall asks him to.

Physically he's gonna be the 2nd most suited to play the 5 behind McKnight.
Yeah I definitely agree, Reese will have to figure out another spot besides SG/PF if wants minutes, this we agree on. What do you think the roll of the 5 will be in Donnie's system? Have you watched any USM highlights or tape to see what the 5 does?

I watched their NIT game against Missouri I believe it was, defensively it would fit Reese better as he struggles man to man. His length and athleticism would fit well in the matchup zone and pressing, and his ability to at least make you respect his shot will cause opposing 5's to leave the paint and cover him 20 feet out, opening lanes for our guards who wanna drive and leaving no rim protector.

He will have to show an ability to rebound against opposing 5's, and hold his own if he gets posted up, but he might be able to counter that but running the bigger guys ragged.

I didn't realize Pops only had a year of eligibility left. What are his options if he transfers? Can he sit for a year with a scholarship and then play a year somewhere else?

If forcing him out means he loses his scholarship and doesn't have a way to get a new one, then we need to honor the commitment we made to the kid. I would be really disappointed in CDT if he hung someone out to dry like that.

Scholarships are 1 year offers. We gave him that 1 year. Nothing says a school has to renew it and Coach Tyndall owes Pops nothing.

He didn't recruit him, if Pops doesn't fit what he is doing then why should we expect Pops to be kept? It is a cutthroat business. Coaches only got so many years to prove their worth, otherwise they are gone
