Hoke told Bob in the postgame that the coaching staff would be out recruiting for the University. He said a lot of kids pick the school not the coach.

I was floored

It's true.

Some players wanna play for the school.

We've become so accustomed to Jones trying to sell his own "brand" with his stupid slogans and constant patting himself on the back that it's easy to lose sight of that.

I seriously doubt Hoke and the staff are putting much effort into recruiting at the moment though.

Technically they are still employed and still have a job to do. Until a new coach is hired and has a staff in place, it is their job to still go out and recruit.

If Hoke and the rest of the coaches were not on the road recruiting and otherwise doing their jobs, they ought to be fired. The season is over for the football VOLS, but the coaches, until a new coach is named and they are released from their contractual obligations, have a job to do... and the major part of that job right now is to recruit new players to Tennessee as best as they can with the dumpster fire John Currrie has created. Now, instead of criticizing them for doing that part of their job, we ought to be encouraging them. Go VOLS...

Hoke's in all probability telling recruits Tennessee is gonna hire a great coach. Hope he's right!
