He went out of his way to overdramatize his disappointment in the news on Shy IMO, as a way to juxtapose/downplay the Hurd departure IMO. And I seriously doubt he and Hurd "have a great relationship" since Hurd is essentially only leaving because of Butch.

Since this is Hurd's decision and where his head has been, we are a better team today than we were yesterday before he quit. I expect this team to play its best game Saturday. I expect they will come out to prove they don't need Hurd to win.

My 2 cents. Unless they start out running the 2 minute offense with Dobbs, or switch to a true pocket passer, it won't matter who the running back is in my opinion.

Honestly...i think we may find the team quitting....i hope not but it seems things aren't as "chipper" as CJ makes it out to be.

I think these kids come out and play inspired ball...just a hunch. Have no reason to believe any of these kids are quitters when the lights come on. Plus,I think Kelly is a much better fit to this offense.

Kids have not quit all season (or last season for that matter). No reason to think they will now. The real question is can Jones and Co. come out and call an inspired game?

The SEC East is awful this year. KY is in 2nd place. East hasn't had a good SEC team since 2012-2013. And we still can't win it, even with GA starting a true frosh, and a FL team lead by the great Luke Del Rio...lets face it, if he'd started, we lose that game. Took a miracle to beat that true Frosh at uGa. FL and GA are trending up...and now apparently USCe is too. News flash, it ain't getting any easier next year. We'd better hope CBJ jettisons Debord and makes a home run hire in OC...and Guarantano is the "real deal".

If that is where his head has been, and CBJ couldn't see that and bench him for a better back who was ready to play, then that's ALL ON BUTCH.

Yep, 2nd place trophy loser attitude. Its sad because that attitude will trickle down through the players, and we have some real fighters on this team who are used to winning.

I'd rather see him come out PISSED, unsatisfied, and disgusted. But you know why he doesn't? Because he knows he is the one to blame.

he does not have to get pissed because he is going to get paid his millions anyway. He had rather piss on us poor souls who have supported the vols longer than he has been alive. we are the chumps for givng our donation and our butts in the seats. That is the only thing this administrations care about.
