So if it became Adidas, and they made a shoe for VFLs...

If they bring Adidas back, I hope they bring the black line around the numbers on the white jerseys back too.

Just hanging a piñata here for sneakerheads and cordwainers to opine over. Or maybe this is a pitch.
We fans have little say in what the boardrooms decide, so we might as well squawk about what we'd like to buy and wear ourselves.

The German company Adidas isn't blazing any frontiers on cutting edge shoe fashion, but their origins [edit: in the US market] back in the late-60s/early 70s was pretty strong. So maybe their niche today would be retro, nostalgia, or throwback [Adidas haters insert "throw back" jokes here].

This Forum Low CL tennis shoe is already available in orange & white, listing for $100.

Below are some options that would require little change in their manufacturing to target Vol Nation:

Make the suede inserts Smokey Gray, along with the sole (better to have dirt and grime on gray instead of corrupting our Orange) and add to each box an extra pair of Summitt Blue shoe laces, for fans who want to make a Lady Vols statement:

OR, make that Lady Vols statement stronger (LV teams are excelling!) by making those suede inserts Summitt Blue:

Of course, some like their shoes extra quiet, and for them, more Smokey Gray shouts loud enough:

;) The thread is now open for traditional VolNation O & R.

I don’t like that old trefoil logo at all. The giant stripes on the ADIZERO running shoe are cool, but I don’t like the sole. The sole should have been simple. On that note, I think what helps Nike is their simplicity. Sure they branch out and create a lot of other stuff for certain markets, but simplicity, quality and intelligent design have gotten them extremely far IMO. I think Danny needs to follow the money however. Nike clearly doesn’t have any respect for Tennessee when you look at what they are paid versus other schools. Yet they try and convince Tennessee to stay and act as if they are the same.

Perhaps we can require whomever to do something similar in style across all sports as part of the deal.

I stopped going to Regal theaters when they switched frome Coke to Pepsi. And then the crazy high ticket prices.

I will stop buying Vols gear if it doesnt have Nike on it.

Sorry just never been a fan of Adidas. My personal preference.
That should be the great thing about this country and if you don’t support something you should be able to do that by not buying the product instead of vandalizing someone else’s Addis shirt or Pepsi.

I chose to avoid Nike stuff for the most part because I disagree with their politics.

Like you I choose not to give them money, but if their paying other schools significantly more money, why should we use them as money that shows that they don’t value our brand and think it’s inferior to other schools.

So mark me down for two reasons to switch.

Hey nothin wrong with that. Different strokes for different folks. Not gonna bash anyone liking Adidas. We all different.

I love spicy foods. Can drink hot sauce if I have to but I'm not a fan of jalapeños and you couldn't pay me to eat them. I guess it's the texture. No idea.

Adidas proudly and aggressively endorsed trans athletes. I'm the grandfather of two girls and don't want to see them compete against men in high school sports. After buying nothing but Adidas golf shoes for decades, I vowed to never buy anything Adidas ever again. I would hope many others to do the same.

Dr. Kathryn Ackerman and researcher Joanna Harper have both publicly stated that Nike is helping to fund a study on youth transgender athletes as young as 12 years old.

Damnit, I’m going to get to the point that I’m not wearing anything then and trust me, no one wants that. 😊

Enormously powerful Blackrock forced many large corporations into commitments to DEI and trans by putting Blackrock people on their boards.

For whatever reason, Blackrock has backed off on their aggressive stance, especially as so many corporations suffered financial loss because of those policies (as well as some state AGs winning lawsuits about policies that do not meet the legal standards of fiduciary responsibilities).

Need to check back on these companies to see which ones have continued, and which have reverted back.

They were also started in Germany by (checks notes)… ADOLPH Dassler, who started the company in the 20’s and joined this Social party that liked to wear Khakis a lot in the 30’s and 40’s. So.. yeah.

Just my luck. I wear a 14 and they never have my size at the Vols store so I used Nike’s customization feature online and designed these. A day late and a dollar short.

This feels like running back to an ex girlfriend. I’m not a fan on Adidas.
Well, sometimes the “fit” of the shoe is not as good and the “grip” of the sole isn’t quite the same and makes you think about how much better the ex shoe was.

OK, looks like after some deep research their is the only ONE company left that hasn't advocated for deranged teens to hack off body parts, promote Mike Tyson in the ring with the ladies if he feels the need, or put marketing campaigns behind USA despising athletes.

Get ready folks. It's Rockport! Word is that the AD is day from announcing
. These babies rock folks! 😂

Have you seen the politics out of Oregon and corporate Nike HQ?

Well, Hell. Add a third deck for nudist fans. But please put a dark cover over the top of it.
