So if it became Adidas, and they made a shoe for VFLs...

Just hanging a piñata here for sneakerheads and cordwainers to opine over. Or maybe this is a pitch.
We fans have little say in what the boardrooms decide, so we might as well squawk about what we'd like to buy and wear ourselves.

The German company Adidas isn't blazing any frontiers on cutting edge shoe fashion, but their origins [edit: in the US market] back in the late-60s/early 70s was pretty strong. So maybe their niche today would be retro, nostalgia, or throwback [Adidas haters insert "throw back" jokes here].

This Forum Low CL court shoe is already available in orange & white, listing for $100.

Below are some options that would require little change in their manufacturing to target Vol Nation:

Make the suede inserts Smokey Gray, along with the sole (better to have dirt and grime on gray instead of corrupting our Orange) and add to each box an extra pair of Summitt Blue shoe laces, for fans who want to make a Lady Vols statement:

OR, make that Lady Vols statement stronger (LV teams are excelling!) by making those suede inserts Summitt Blue:

Of course, some like their shoes extra quiet, and for them, more Smokey Gray shouts loud enough:

;) The thread is now open for traditional VolNation O & R.

Adidas’s origins go much farther back than the 60s. They started in the 20s, in Germany. So you know what that means.
Poorly stated on my part. I was referring to their origins in the USA, but, yes, some would say they put the fasc in fashionista.

Though it might be more accurate to say their shoes originally came in "extra-Weimar." 😎

It is a known fact Hitler was wearing the original Sambas when he took the stage to a massive ovation at Munich .

This needs to be considered before we make any long term decisions.

Ford, Chevy, Chrysler. Everyone has their favorite. It comes down to money in 2025, and Nike ain't cutting it (sweet deal, thanks Dave Hart).

For the record, I'm Team Adidas (and Chevy), but if Chrysler is gonna cough up some free cars, I'll drive them.

And nothing is easier to change than style...

Seriously, if this nazi thing is going to be here not one person having a problem with it needs to have ever owned a VW or BMW and Volkswagen needs to be run out of Chattanooga if the UAW doesn’t do it first.

Do we have to also cancel Henry Ford, Charles Lindbergh and editors of Time magazine, circa 1938?

I stopped going to Regal theaters when they switched from Coke to Pepsi. And then the crazy high ticket prices.

I will stop buying Vols gear if it doesnt have Nike on it.

Sorry just never been a fan of Adidas. My personal preference.

I've never been a big fan of the Nike numerals and font they chose for the jerseys. I seem to remember the AD yielded any input and Nike all the say on what they pushed. Yup, I'm a boomer, and I miss the big shoulder pads and the big numbers.
