So I guess the stadium renovations won't happen now

The plans previously announced by Fulmer only addressed the lower level concourse in the south endzone. Nothing is planned for upper level concourses either on the east or south upper deck. It's almost impossible to make your way along the upper level concourse in the south endzone.
It’s definitely rough up there. It’s a 100k seat stadium that’s basically an erector set stuck on top of an old stadium in an 80-90k seat footprint. Nothing about upgrading it is going to be easy; especially upstairs.

After having seats in the upper south endzone for over 20 years, I had enough and moved to the north endzone. Well worth the additional $250 in yearly donation to have a concourse you can actually move around in and being able to get out of the stadium in less than half the time.

Who cares about the stadium? We should just be glad they are playing. After all that has happened, there is no guarantee football is going to survive into the future. NFL is going to f up again and go woke protest and piss off more fans. Plenty of woke types want the game gone, and just Google it if you don't believe me. It's a hyper masculine sport and that makes it a target.

We've been in the North End Zone for 5 years now (Y10). Seats 1 and 2 on the isle. Love it. Never had issues going or coming.

His entire post comes off as dramatic. It reads like it was written by a nagging wife. “So I guess, we won’t be (insert thing you didn’t want to do) now!”

Some of y’all really are more concerned about bitching about posters than the content of the thread. And I’m guessing you’re completely oblivious of the irony of a post whining about tone while saying the original post sounds like a nagging wife.

Point is, for those of us who were hoping to see the renovations for years, they’ve been pushed back and pushed back. Now that means they won’t happen for the foreseeable future. And Neyland looks like a dinosaur compared to peers in the facilities arms race.

If you disagree or don’t care, fine. But ad hominems really don’t address the matter (which is the definition of an ad hominem, I suppose).

I care! I'm not looking for a massive renovation, just basic maintenance to make it safe. Many sections of the stadium have fallen into complete disrepair. Clogged plumbing, poor electrical wiring, rusted steel beams, broken windows, chipped paint on rails. The facilities management team must have been on vacation for the last 20 years. A sandblaster and some paint power tools and elbow grease could go along away!

It's very concerning to me how UT has mismanaged funds and donations for years, but yet they keep sticking their hand out asking the same people for more money and folks are expected to keep giving.

I care about both. The South portion of the Stadium has been a disgrace for a number of years. I have been to a lot of football stadiums in my 80 plus years and have yet to see one as bad as our lower level South end zone facilities.

I can't tell you the number of times I have been at the trough and a woman has run in and used the men's bathroom. There is always such a long line at the women's bathroom I think the women just reach the point of no return and rush to the nearest available toilet.

Volnation is great btw. All the men are always very courteous and clear a path.

Another reason to eliminate the horse troughs. Will help damsels-in-distress

It looks like 88 skipped the lesson on being a proper lady, so I'd say it's a wash (no pun intended).

Hey, I've seen the women's lines. If I really really had to go bad, and was standing 25th in a line that was moving 1 or 2 people a minute, I'd do the same as she did. Better than peeing yourself out in the concourse while you wait.

Sometimes taking the least un-ladylilke course of action available is as close to ladylike as a lady can get.

Oh, I agree. #1 could've been questioning what he was witnessing but at that moment on film, not his best look
