I know he has played better last 2 games, but I still draw up every time he drops back. It looks like his confidence is way better, but is he seing the field any better. I am not a basher I just hope we continue to see improvement. He has already faced the toughest defenses he will see all season. How He plays will be the diference between 6-6 or 8-4

I think Crompton will only get better IMHO

The change started on the last drive of the Auburn game. He will most likely not look back.

I agree..not only has Crompton changed but the whole team has changed and I love it..People need to cease with the negativity...

That drive showed what this team can really do. I don't care if the Barn was in prevent or not. That would have happened against any D they put out there. That was the transformation from "is he the best we have" to the QB Lane said he could get drafted.

If he keeps this up Kiffin is going to look like a freakin genius. There are not going to be many top QB recruits who will not have Tenn at the top of their list.

Crompton is definetly playing alot better. Am it's brenthe last 2 an a half games. I'm feeling way more confident an he's made just about every big throw he's had to make the last few games. GO VOLS!!!

he will get drafted in the late rounds, hopefully by oakland to replace the worst qb in the history of the nfl.

Is it safe to say our quarterback has turned the corner? Are we saying straight outta Crompton is here?

Al Davis will never, EVER, draft a player under the current tutelage of Lane Kiffin.

Thank God

He's turned the corner IMO. You can see he's playing with more confidence and I think he's on the same page with his receivers now. He's played like the 4 star player he was out of high school the last 2 games.

I would also add that our receivers are playing much better as well. It was never ALL Crompton.

One question. Was the Arenas drive killing sack on Crompton or GJ. It was clear he was coming off the end bot JC rolled out that way anyway. I personally think GJ (who was in motion left to right) overran the play Because it looked like he tried to come back to block Arenas but was to far away.

I actually believe it was Marsalis Teague, but don't get too down on him...from what I read coaches praise his blocking. Especially considering he played QB all through high school and is still learning the position from scratch

if I remember right, crompton had a chance to step up and left or throw it away, but his evasive move wasn't that great. Arenas is fast a heck, but lots of QB's can throw that away. Look at peyton-i think he has 2 sacks this year, and how ainge his senior year was hardly ever taken down. Not all on Crompton but he's the last resort. Will say that I agree, he's doing awesome, and I think the new QB is here to stay

Bama made a great call and Arenas executed. Sometimes that just happens. Wrong offensive play perfectly matched to the right defensive play call.

My guess is that Crompton finishes strong, does well in the NFL combine, and gets some NFL team to gamble with a late round pick.

That is simply an amazing recovery.

If we're thinking of the same play it was actually Stocker's fault. CLK mentioned this on his show. Crompton checked to the bootleg and Stocker didn't realize it. So he goes to roll and Stocker is the 'hot read' but he had stayed in to block. So in the event of a blitz Arenas was supposed to come through but Crompton would dump the ball off to Stocker. Crompton saw him coming and then realized he didn't have a hot read route so he tried to dodge Arenas.

It is so refreshing to hear a coach breakdown the good plays and the bad, who missed an assignment or who made the assignment for the play to work. The past 17 yrs all we ever use to get was dadgum it we need to do that play better or not sure what happened there, we will need to look at film and practice to get better.

Rock on CLK, way to make JC serviceable!
