So, how good will Bryce Brown be?

If Crompton can play that well and our rushing attack is what I think it will be, Tennessee could easily win 9 games.

IMO the only games TN most likely losses is Fl, Georgia, Alabama, and Ole Miss, and I think we beat one of them, and if that one happens to be Florida then I wouldnt be surprised with 10 or 11 wins.

I truly believe its run, run, run against WKU and UCLA. It wouldnt surprise me one bit if CLK comes out firing the ball downfield in the Florida game to try and catch them off guard. If we can be successful by coming out and throwing against them, that will open up the running game and we could keep it close and pull it out because there is no doubt in my mind Meyer is thinking that all we have is a running game. Thats how i feel about it.

I'd love to believe that, but I'm just not real optimistic about Crompton.
I am really trying hard to be GA. I do feel that he cannot possibly be any worse.

To me a lot of his issues last year were mental and I think we have coaches now that can turn that around. I hope so anyway.

After showing the tendency to pound the rock in the first two games of the season, I could see Kiffin starting the came off with a play action bomb.

I am not sure how many rushing yards Brown will put up in year 1, but I could see him putting up some strong all purpose yards as a freshman because of his ability to catch the football. I could see him playing some WR just to increase because of his versatility.

I am hoping he can be Herschel Walker/Bo Jackson good. It's been too long since we had a back opposing defenses feared.

He'll be a good back and will be given the opportunity to live up to the hype. Whether he does so or not is completely up to him.

not completely if the O line doesnt get any better it wont matter whos running the ball.

Hopefully the theme Rivals has set with their overall #1 player continues with him ending up as a 1st round draft pick 3 or 4 years from now.

We should use him in the slot in some sets while having Hardesty at Rb ,and maybe implementing end arounds and fake end arounds with play some play actions out of those sets just to kind of keep the defense guessing about what we are gonna do. I think we should use him more as a decoy just until he makes the full time transition of being our #1 rb

I know. I want him to succeed, but between the starts he made in '06 and last year and I just haven't seen much to give me hope that he can manage an offense.
...or pick out and then hit an open receiver.

+1. Surprised this thread went 5 pages without a mention of what I believe to be the most important factor in determining his success. He looks great, but if he's met in the backfield or by 2 guys at the line, it won't matter how good he is.

Surely you don't think this is a bigger factor than the fact that he is from KS?

Bryce Brown will walk on water and will not be good to animals, namely gators, elephants, bulldogs, chickens, and tigers. Michael Vick will be envious.
