so how do we compensate for a weak OL?

Compensate is the key word. There is no quick fix when the talent and experience or both is lacking. I guess our defense will have to play ball control and keep the opposing offense on the field.

New coach and new staff will be the only way it gets better, just being honest. No possible way our team is full of kids that complete as freshmen then regress after being in CBJ 's system. Name one skill player that has honestly gotten better starting yr 4? If this doesn't change soon our recruiting will start to fall off cause if the casual fan noticed how bad our highly rated recruits play after being in our system, think other staffs will point this out? Just frustrated knowing how many we returned we should be freaking dominant, not relying on luck

If Butch and staff lose to UF and UGA I agree they've got to go. Losing to those obviously would include a loss to Alabama and possibly aTm. Hell...maybe they'll keep improving. I sure hope so because I like how Butch represents Tennessee.

I'm really surprised we haven't seen them try to move the pocket ONCE through 2 games.

I think more run/pass options and plays that give Dobbs an option to pass or run in general might be helpful for the OL. Our playcalling just needs to be less predictable and a bit more varied IMO. Our OL and QB have flaws and weaknesses. But a good OC could still get a lot out of this offense.

Jesus is this what it has come to? Compensate??? Good God this just shows how far Tennessee has truly fallen. I finally understand what some have been saying. We are still holding the coaches to the Dooley standard.

We dont compensate. The solution is to grow a set of balls, fire who you need to and get some legitimate SEC caliber coaches that can get the job done. But I guess thats probably too much to ask.

Debord and McHoney are working like heck to find 5 Oline, that can block 3 Defensive linemen.

Did Butch Jones say it takes 6-7 years to build a football program and 5 or 6 more to develop an Oline?

That's all well and dandy, but it's week 3 of 12 game season. We're not gonna be able to bring in a new coach right now.

What do they do in the mean time to help out an OL that is struggling? "Fahr Debord, get new coaches!" isn't practical or realistic RIGHT NOW.
