Was it mentl? Did a handful of players not show up? Is half of the roster not ready to play sec ball? I feel like I was watching the 2000 game where we kicked that tail all over the field and lost. Also like the 2002 game where we laid the biggest egg in program history.

Was it a garbage performance? Yes.

Did we get exposed? Yes.

But some of you need to buy a one way ticket back to reality. That Florida team didn't magically become Kentucky overnight. They were coming off a gutsy road win at A&M and probably had twice as many 4+ star recruits as we do. By the same token, beating NC State didn't suddenly make us an SEC title contender.

Coaching and play calling...Pure and simple...Which is sad because Muschamp is kind of still getting his feet wet with the whole head coaching thing...

Who says we should have beaten florida? Delusional Vol fans? They have GREAT talent, every year. I never bought all the bs about a sure win--it was absurd. We have a decent passing attack--big deal. Every SEC team has some strengths. To beat the big dogs, you gotta be good in a lot of ways and we weren't.

Dooley is the worst second half coach EVER !!!

Agreed, not going for it on 4th and two, while only down seven, shows he has no gumption.

If we had gotten that first down, I think we would talking about how Dooley had finally come to the SEC level of coaches.

This. UF had a bad game against BGSU and some people felt like that meant they were horrible. Their D is just as good as we thought it would be and it beat us, now we just need to put the loss behind us and play the rest of the season

I don't know why that's so hard for people to figure out. They are simply better than us.

We lost for all the usual reasons.
After this latest debacle at Neyland, I'm about ready to switch my allegiance to the Lingerie League.

I agree it has some to do with coaching, but Florida has a great defense and ours is just not good. People forget that they still kill it in recruiting every year.

As someone said last night, even in our best years in the 90s, we had a crap load of trouble with Florida

They're just... almost always pretty freaking good.

I agree. Give it to AJ again out the wildcat. They hadn't stopped it yet. We have the worst coaching I have ever seen.

Spot on!!! Florida is still Florida they are not ging to quit just because we are ranked or have a good offense. The facts are we have 3* kids with a few 4* mixed in and Florida has 4* with 5* mixed in. Driskell was the # 1 rated QB in the country 2 years ago and he showed why last night.

At what point do we start getting better? You could say this everytime we lose.
We were no better against Florida than last year and statistically we were probably worse. If UT approaches the game this way we will always be a 6-7 win team.

We knew coming in they were good on defense, what bothers me is how in the world did a team that scored 24 on BGSU at home come into Neyland stadium and light UT up for 37 points

I didn't say the friggin team should approach the game that way.

I'm just pointing out that the people that are acting shocked about the outcome are mainly the ones that went irrationally optimistic in the first place. I'm not trying to analyze what the problem is. I'm just stating the reality as I see it.

Probably the most troubling thing about last night. They just weren't doing anything complicated on offense. They just spread us out, confused the crap out of us with motion and killed us on the edge.

There are alot of posters on here who do not want to face reality.

There was far too much delusional talk going on here last week.

Too many people thinking that our lack of an effective running game would not be a problem and that we would just pass our way to victory after victory. The second we got behind and became one dimensional, our vaunted passing game dissappeared.

We ended the game with three three-and-outs. Thats what happens when everyone knows you are going to pass. It's also what happens when everyone just gives up trying to win.

We were favored to win the game. We have the talent to beat that team and we didn't. Simply saying we're just not as good as them is worn thin.
