So....how are we feeling about Georgia?

We don't yet have the players to compete.

That said, I just hope we get out of there with no injuries due to cheap shots, late hits, or knee-hunting. All are part of the uga football culture. Part of why I have utter disdain for that trash program.

Georgia’s defense is levels ahead of any defense of any team in recent memory. They probably have 7-8 first rounders on that defense.

If the Vols stay within 28 and score more than 21, they’ve played extremely well.

If you lose to Bama none of that will mean jacks***!
If GA loses to Bama in a close game why do you think they wouldn't make the college playoffs? They would still be 12-1 with their only loss to a potential Top 5 team? I still believe they would make the playoffs.

we will score on them and I think Banks will adjust and the defense will be much better. they don't have a Wan'Dale Robinson. I think we can win by 10+ at home
Why I appreciate your optimism I think you should look at adjusting your lithium.

Gotta say, it's going to be the toughest game we've played all year. Georgia has allowed only 59 points all year. The next closest SEC team to that is A&M, and that's a 73 point difference between the two.

This is an incredibly dominant defense, and their offense has scored two more points on the year than we have.

This is going to be a tough one. What are the keys to the game, and is there any way we take home a W?

Tennessee needs to not let Georgia run 100 plays and win the turnover battle.

I should have said if you don't win the NC. I assumed they would be playing Bama.

Their front 7 is going to start eating our lunch come the third quarter, so we have to come out with a couple of big plays early similar to what we did at the Grocery Store in Lexington last night. Our only shot is getting them in freak out mode in Q1 since they haven't given up **** all season. Also just for fun - their offense is trash, I'd rather have Pitt's quarterback every day of the week.

Not good. We are still a few recruiting cycles behind them unfortunately. Don’t get too upset with the final Saturday. Just stick to the process. If we finish 7-5 and win our bowl to finish 8-5, that’s pretty darn incredible and a fantastic job by Heupel.
Heupel will win COY for the job he's done this year in Knoxville. It wasn't that the cupboard was bare when he showed up. UT didnt even have a cupboard. IF he were to beat UGA Saturday, he should have a planet named after him.

If we want to win, we need more than 8 mins of possession against Georgia. Need to give the defense some breaks.

I’d live nothing more than to see the Vols win.

A lot of talk about us being a bad matchup for them….they are way worse for us. We give up a ton of sacks, and UGAs D line has someone in the backfield under a second most the time. If by some chance/scheme we can slow that down and attack the secondary ……maybe we can score.

Unfortunately I think there is a decent chance we are either shut out, or shut out until it doesn’t matter anymore.

I’ll still be there to cheer on the Vols, but even bad day Georgia is probably too much at this point, for us and likely everyone in the country. We appear to be on the right track. We just still have some miles to cover.

That said, we play the games for a reason.

Neyland will be loud. Maybe we can equalize their offense some. Going to need to shorten the field a few times.

I believe we lose but UGA beat Clemson 10 to 3 with no Offensive TDs by either team. I believe we would beat Clemson on a neutral field. So I'm saying we have a puncher's chance if we win the turnover battle by a 3 to 1 ratio. A lot of if & buts.

UGA is the team with knee injuries while playing UT

Play fast and don't react to their defensive shifts that get motion penalties. Go Vols!
