Is Saban the prime example of character and integrity? How about Meyer? Do you think Fulmer never "bent" the rules to get recruits? Think Majors was straight-laced?

Kelly didn't personally do anything wrong,was cleared by the NCAA. If Curries understands what it takes to win in the SEC then he also understands it will take a coach that can step in the grey areas at times. All successful coaches have and continue to do so. If he is adamant we have an Eagle Scout as a HC then we can all look forward to a lot more losing seasons.

Nah it's not. Mid-state recruiting has equalized that. We have always been in close proximity to recruiting hot beds regardless of the false narrative that has been perpetuated that TN is difficult to recruit to. Recruiting just got easy with the mid-state explosion. TN has better facilities to boot. Why is bama a better job than Florida? Florida has more local recruits than bama does..

The only reason TN is struggling is because of an all out attack on athletics by the academic administration and continued bone headed decisions by our AD's. Curries crusade to hire an Eagle Scout is just continuing the trend as well. The only problem with TN is TN, everything else is in place for us to be a juggernaut

Also reiterating the point he needs a HUGE coach ( assuming in stature) thus also disqualifying Kelly?

I'm good with UF getting Kelly as long as we're in with Grud's or Frost. IF we get OUR guy, then good exposure for tilting SEC power back to east w/ UGA. Kelly not a slam dunk. His system worked at Oregon when no one was running the system...now literally everyone is. He was a train wreck in NFL, and about as thin skinned as Butch. Additionally, UF getting perceived top tier guy puts more pressure on UTAD not to go "cheap".

Florida hasn’t signed anything yet, and may be getting hoodwinked by “the biggest name available” and his agent. Florida could come out of this Chip Kelly thing looking weak and defeated. I do credit Stricklin for swinging for the fences but there is risk associated with that. We should know something by Sunday, but so far, UF has gone from hiring Chip Kelly “imminently” to being a 50/50 choice with UCLA.
