Drags the program down further?.... Comments like these are what destroys any credibility you may have as a poster on VM

What does losing do to the program? Moral victories just do not get it done. Lucky for me, your opinion of my credibility means little to me.

I predict that some of you guys are going to develop carpal tunnel, because you type too many useless posts. Let the season play out before you talk about replacing the coach. If the overall season is a bust, then by all means go ape s**t, but until it happens save those keystrokes.

NEGAVOLS HEED MY WARNING. CARPAL TUNNEL IS SERIOUS.
So there are posts on here that are useful?

IMO, if we lose to Miss St, time to start testing the waters and start gauging some interest. There is just no way 7-5 should be ok. That would make Dooley 0-21 or something against ranked teams and 3-12 in the SEC the past 2 years. Sorry if thats a little off, but ya know what i mean. How can anyone defend that?

The fact is the program was a complete disaster when he arrived....even If he's fired tomorrow he improved the state of affairs. If you can't understand that then there's no help for you. I just hope the wind doesn't blow the dumbness over in Lebanon
towards Mt. Juliet

Not really trying to be a smartass, but how can you tell we are better? We haven't beaten anyone worth a ****. If Bray and company jump ship, we're staring 5-7 right in the face next year. It's a big if of course, but nothing surprises me these days.

Im really just asking, no need for negative remarks.

Dooley took over a team that went 7-6 in 09. He went 6-7 and 5-7 over the next 2 years(worse). ANY coach could have improved the roster over the last 3 years. The product on the field looks worse now than it did in 2009. Yes, I think he is dragging the program down and or holding it back.

I could not tell you about the wind in TN. I am in AZ. :hi:

Basically just from a roster stand point....Dooley has been working without a full 85 man roster until this year. If another coach came in he wouldn't be in the same situation. There are some future NFL players on the roster now...more so than when he arrived

I def agree there. It sure hasn't translated to wins though. I still think if we lose to Miss St, its time for a change.

As I said before, compared to 2010 (first season), offense is better, defense is worse, kicking game is a push. Improvement?

Yes, I think you are exactly correct. We are Liberty Bowl bound!

And you seem happy with that. You're what's wrong with Tennessee football. Mediocrity breeds mediocrity. Go root for another team if you like sub par coaching and barely making bowl games. This is Tennessee.

4.25 million dollars and go get Dana Holgorsen. His team throws it and runs it well. He would need to hire a good DC. He makes just under 3 million at WV.

A very good Florida team to a 17 point L.
An overrated UGA team to one touchdown.
And we've dominated lesser competition.

Going ahead I predict:

Miss St. (L)
Alabama (L)
So. Car (L)
Troy (W)
Mizzou (Tossup)
Vanderbilt (W)
Kentucky (W)

So we'll be 7-5, and I think that's enough to keep Dooley's job.

Last week it was a very good Georgia team and 3 weeks ago it was a trash Florida team...if 7-5 means Dooley is good to go then some fans need to be released with him. I see anything less than 9 wins with this cupcake schedule atrocious. Quit making excuses. The only loss I could see was Bama before the season and now. The fact that Dooley has managed a pathetic 4 SEC wins over the last 3 years with 2 of those teams being Vandy and Kentucky speaks for itself. At this point, I look at that schedule and see 1 win with Troy being a toss up under the current regime.

One major area of improvement that a lot of people overlook is the return game. I vividly remember cringing every time somebody used to kick the ball to us.
