So does 3-4 defense give CDD pass next year??

Saban is, clearly, and awesome defensive coach. His last few defense have been phenomenal.

But anyone who tells you that Bama switched to a 3-4 upon Saban's arrival doesn't know what they're talking about.

Thank you for the info. How instrumental was Dave Hart during that time? I'm just wondering if he's using Dooley like Mike Shula. (BTW, I'm hoping Dooley succeeds--not bashing)

Was wondering about what you all think about the fact that if CSS changes our base to a 3-4 does it give CDD a pass for next year. Everyone understands that there will definitely be a learning curve with a new scheme, and it will take a class or two to get the right personnel. But just how much of a pass will Hart allow CDD? CDD needs W's now in the worst way.

No pass. There is a huge difference between teaching new schemes to upper classmen vs freshmen. Our guys are up did whatever the coaches bring this year.

I think the team would have to really struggle like another 6 win season for Dooley not to be here next year. There are at least 6 no brainer wins on that schedule and 8 very doable wins and really this roster should be able to get 9. I think it would take something quite extraordinary for Dooley and much of this staff to not be here in 2013.

It would take a fulmer/richtish performance to underachieve enough to not have a good season this year. The schedule is just too good too us. In the case Dooley doesn'take it to Halloween. BUT I don't see that happening. Next year our HC will be force feeding doolaid to all the haters.

Hart basically ran every sport but football. He should get a lot of credit for the Anthony Grant hire.
