I felt much better when he came in the game. Maybe it was a matter of comparison, but Worley actually looked pretty decent against Florida. The stats weren't bad IMO, and he was moving the sticks.

He can't be faulted for 2 interceptions, one of them was a prayer just seeing if we could make a crazy last ditch play for a touchdown. But even though he made a few questionable (aka terrible) passes, he put some tough throws right on the money as well. Basically I'm going back to my position before the Oregon game, and that is that I think Worley is a decent QB. At the very worst he's manageable.

Oh and I'm done with Josh Smith for a little while, the kid just isn't ready yet. He'll be great, but he isn't ready yet.

Worley looked a lot better but still have a million miles to go.

And I hear ya on Josh but don't have WRs as it is.

Worley did look much improved from Oregon, yeah he slipped up but he looked a little more relaxed. Although, he has to get smarter and make his own decisions. I get tired of seeing these qbs look to the sideline for audibles, that **** makes me sick

He looked better because he couldn't look worse than the Oregon game. He also replaced a QB with a 0.7 qbr.

Agreed on all points OP.

It's the Tennessee way to hang the QB when we lose games. I'm not saying Worley is going to will us into wins, but he played a commendable 2nd half vs. a stout Florida defense.

If he continues to improve, he could be a middle-of-the-pack SEC QB by the end of the season.

Worley just needs to step into all his throws. He has to stop throwing off his back foot. That's really what kills his accuracy.

Even the 90 year old announcer was saying that..he has to stop whizzing that f###er off his back foot.

He only looked decent when Florida started thinking about the after game party and busted their coverage. Hitting wide open receivers at this level of football does not constitute looking good IMO. We are still in a world of trouble at the QB position for at least this season and next. That being said, he is waaaaayy better than Peterman.

If he can continue to improve against the teams coming up in October and we can stay away from a lot of injuries I think we have a deccent shot to win some ballgames in November hopefully sweep the last 4. I do not think this team will quit.

State of the game for me. Petterman 5 yds first half, Worley 149. The 'what ifs' we added another 100 yds offense first half, 'what if' didn't screw up the handoff after the muffed punt.

Was at the game, it was night and day difference between Worley and Petterman.

You guys need to lay off Josh Smith. He's a true freshman who beat out Dallas, Carter, Harris, Jenkins, and even Croom to be a starter against AP.

Watching Josh Smith play saturday he just isn't ready to come in and play in critical plays he needs more time to develop.

He did look better but still 10-22 with 2 int's and 2should more that were dropped wasnt a huge improvement. Just dont see him improving enough to beat the top 25 teams on our schedule. This Sat is the last stat padding game outside of maybe Kentucky. Against top 25 teams Worley is 23-47 in passing so far.

I thought he looked better as well. But, if I recall correctly, Florida was not working with their starting DB's. Wasn't one ejected for a hit to the head and another injured? It is possible I am remembering wrong. He looked better nevertheless.

Yeah. Even though TN lost they beat the hell out of the gators physically so take it for what its worth. I think they lost 2 on D and O.
