So Butch to be hired at Alabama is true.

It’s like that one Seinfeld episode. Every play, Saban will just check with Butch for his opinion and then do the opposite

I agree with you here but...he'll have a National Championship ring before any of our coaching staff does.

Let that sink in.

No need to.

He fell on his a$$ here and Bama is proven without him. They could hire Bruce Pearl as an analyst and it wouldn't matter.

I couldn't get past the last line. It's a good thing it was the last one.

Someone changed it .. oh well ... carry on. 3 of the last 4 coaches had to be paid after they were fired (Fulmer, Dooley and Jones) and Pruitt no doubt has a clause in his contract that sets him for a while if he fails. Not sure why we continue to make an issue of this.

It is the norm for college coaches today.

Who cares? I wish him luck and good bye. Just as long as he is not on our staff, I don't care what he does. Just let it go...:hi:

The reason most fans don’t let it go is, here we have a ex coach of our mighty VOLS that would even consider stepping on Bammer territory, much less intervening for a job with our most hated rival. Yes, he has a family to support (buy out money), a true VOL lover would never do. Look at past true Vol greats. They would never have went to crimson country to get a low paying analyst job with buyout money in back pocket. That is what has been wrong in the last 10 Year’s, no true orange blood.

This makes no sense. No one refers to him as great...or a Vol...but he’s held to those responsibilities. We flamed him and fired him...he can do what he wants. We have a HC...let’s get back to him.

Before replying, read the actual response.

So you DON’T let it go BECAUSE he wasn’t a true Vol? Sorry...still doesn’t make sense. Seems like a pointed agenda...with one determined outcome. Don’t let go for not letting go’s sake.

Butch will be the one laughing at us when he comes back to Neyland this season and they beat our heads in again by 40.

He can laugh all he wants. It does nothing to diminish the fact that he was a failure in Knoxville. Well, there was that one championship....

Why? The only impact he would have on that is how he left the program.

It's not like he's a contributing factor or will be a contributing factor in what could be a potential loss for us. And let him laugh, it makes me happy he no longer wears orange and one last thing....**** him.

I don't see it any other way. If Im him, the worse the beating the more embarrassed I am for leaving that mess.

He’s so full of hubris, he probably will. Yet, as an analyst who’s miles and miles away from any of the actual decisions that will determine Alabama’s success or failures on the field of play, everyone else (except evidently you and a couple of others on here) will know and understand that Bama was gonna beat the hell out of us whether Jones was on Saban’s “staff” or selling insurance in Idaho.

And he will have had more to do with Tennessee not getting a championship ring than he’ll have to do with Alabama winning yet another one. Let that sink in.

So if Butch wanted a Div I HC or OC job, he could have had one, but he didn't because he'd rather be an Offensive Analyst at Alabama? That's the theory you're going with?

Not sure how many times I have to keep repeating the same thing to you. If you haven't gotten what I was trying to say by now, then repeating it 10 more times wouldn't help. The man is getting an 8 mill buyout minus whatever future coaching jobs will pay. If you were gonna make 2+ mill this year would you wanna go straight back to headcoaching or take a stress free job and take a year off? Not even sure why he would wanna take an analyst job except to work under the best college HC ever. He was trying to be a volunteer HC at a HS in TN at one point. Not sure how welcome he would have been in any HS in TN,especially in Knoxville. I can't think of any other reason to take an Analyst job that pays less than 100k a year. If he had wanted to be a HC again immediately a little more effort would have been put forward. Saban's still not 100% sure he can even hire Butch yet. That's been the hold up.
