Because it was so bad...

(edit: here's what he said, "I didn’t even get to late in the game,” Tennessee’s quarterback said after practice Tuesday morning. “I watched the first half, that was about it. That wasn’t our team,” Bray said of Tennessee’s play down the stretch."

When does Bray watch film? When he plays well?

Isn't that exactly WHEN you need to watch film, when you played poorly? That way you can see what you would have done differently and therefore try not to make those same mistakes in the future?

Gonna be a looooong season boys.

I hope Chaney watches that film and figures out how to beat that type of defense.

I like bray and think he very talented but with that poor work ethic he won't start a day in the NFL. That is really inexcusable and almost worth benching. Imo.

As much as I don't like you, OP, your thread is exactly right and I (for once) agree with you. I read the same thing on 247.

Isn't the point of watching bad film to make you better so you don't screw up again?

I kind of wonder what happened to the kid reduced to tears at the end of the UNC game his freshman year. Maybe there is something else going on, but those who think he can just play the season out and get drafted in the 1st round are kidding themselves. The NFL does not work that way. Something needs to change.

The fact that he is given the option to not watch the tape tells me all I need to know about the leadership and coaching from the staff.

It would totally not help at all to see Rivera and Rogers running open on passes forced in to Hunter, or chucked out of bounds. No good could come from that.

His stock is dropping fast.

This reminds me of when Dooley said they didn't watch the film after the Arkansas game last year. SAY WHAT?????? How'd that work out?

Definition of insanity... doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

What's also disturbing is admitting to this. This might come up during combine interviews. Might.
Sure it will. They pick you apart mentally and physically at those combines. That's what they're for.... If you have a weak spot in your game they will find it.....

I noticed several comments had been deleted before I left mine on that video. Tyler mentioned he didn't watch it because "that's not us." Well, unfortunately, it is us. That's who our team is when we are getting beat in the 4th quarter.

I would like to strongly encourage our team to watch the video of the 4th quarter and see what they looked like to the fans. You can talk all day about where your mind was, but when people see that body language, those facial expressions, that level of frustration, they know what's going on.

Our team needs to make a decision, draw a line in the sand. They will fight for 60 minutes, no matter the score. I don't care if there ain't a single fan in the stands. They need to fight because they have respect for themselves and their team, irregardless of how many fans are watching.

His stock is dropping fast.

Arm talent or not he is not a 1st round pick right now. Might not even be a 2nd rounder. Mallett had a stronger arm, big wins, stats galore, and fell to the 3rd before Bill Belichek put him out of his misery. The NFL likes gym-rats, not QBs that refuse to watch bad film and throw temper tantrums on the field.

Aside from their network crashing while the first half film was being watched this is just utterly ridiculous.

I don't know what's worse -

1. A "star" QB who thinks he doesn't need to review a poor performance so he can identify areas where he can improve

-or-

2. A hot-seat coach who doesn't have the gonads to demand that said QB watch the entire film to demonstrate a commitment to the "relentless pursuit of continuous improvement"

I know-I was being a little sarcastic there. He will get grilled during those interviews, which are a big part of the evaluation process now. Given what we have seen the last two years he will struggle.
