We have to wait for an AD to make a coaching change and we currently have one that is outta here in a few months? ... :loco::loco: Waiting around to stink more doesn't sound like the answer. Totally mismanaged by this university.

Coaching change isn't happening despite the AD situation, or any other. Tennessee isn't firing Butch, some of you are running with this worse than the gruden rumors.

not sure what you're getting at. Hart announces his retirement, even if you were a good planner, and made the suggestion that it should be done at the end of the calendar year, you don't go in to thinking "i'm gonna have to fire a coach before next June, so let's bump that date".

it just is what it is. lame duck AD, brand new chancellor....and a coach that has made this situation a whole lot worse than it had to be.

As much as I'd like for him to be fired yesterday, he's here until next year.

Butch will be back next year unless he leaves himself. They will give him one more year.

Hopefully Purdue offers!

We need a coach capable of game planning for 60 minutes.

I've won several Super Bowls on Madden and built prob 20 dynasties(I took UConn to the promise land in year one) on NCAA. I know what it takes to win

Butch is not going anywhere, injuries decimated the whole defense and the OL. If the same results happen next year without the injuries, then maybe Butch is having an issue with the SEC Talent. Not even sure what that means, the Offensive Scheme is sound, execution was poor at times. The new Defense, well its Shoop's first year, next year will be better. UT Fans are starving for change, but the timing has been awful. To be honest, I blame CPF, his complacency drove UT to this point in history, but I forgive him, because to be honest, his health was poor and the talent he was bringing in was just bad for off the field issues.

VolNation, we will be back, but it's obvious it will take some very talented young men who don't listen to half the stuff written on a blog.............come'on really, a recruit is going to listen to < 1% of the fan base on whether or not to come to UT?...........well, you are going to get the same trash from every SEC Blog site.

Fulmer was fired 8-9 years ago and these problems are still his fault? C'mon MAN.

What if one guy gets injured next year? What if its the QB? Do we give him yet another year if he turns in another 8 win season? What if he wins 9? Is that real progress?

Wishing for a new coach is a waste of time. Butch is the coach for the foreseeable future. The last hire was an important one.

I really don't think we will have to wait until June for a new athletic director.

No head coach is going to leave because of pressure when he is guaranteed millions in salary. The Lady Vols site has used this rationale with Holly for some time and it has gotten them nowhere.

Counzo left because of fan pressure with a contract in hand.
