SO.....ashely madison?

Inconvenient, unfortunate, undesirable or expensive maybe but I think the days of it being viewed as wrong are long gone. I think that happens as it becomes more common since people don't want to define their own personal acts as wrong. Again just something I've noticed with lots of social issues.

I don't have a view on others divorces but know it's not something I'm interested in doing. I just have a hard time saying that breaking this vow is wrong while breaking this other one is acceptable. Especially when I said them in the same breath

I'm not sure who was debating one is acceptable and one isn't. Maybe that was hog's point and I missed it.

I think we both agreed that divorce is more and more common, and that divorce and adultery both violate standard wedding vows.

I feel like once you get past the fact that there are multiple ways to break wedding vows, and I don't view every possible one of those transgressions as exact equals. All Just like I don't see every possible criminal offense as equal, simply because each is against the law.

That's just my opinion, though. I'm not trying to dictate what's right or wrong for others, just how I view things in my personal experience.

Their kids don't. I do not enjoy the thought of kids having to deal with this like you seem to. Also, what right do you have to this illegally obtained information?

The effect it will have on the family in this country likely can't be undone

Also, what right do you have to this illegally obtained information? Are you OK with any and all data in this country being eligible for release at any moment?

What's your point with the information being illegally obtained?

I think this whole thing is a horrible situation, for everyone involved. Like you, I hate this situation for the families it affects and, even more so, the innocent kids who are impacted.

But is it really the leaked information that breaks up the families? Or could one argue that if either spouse is having an affair, the marriage was already broken? Again, I'm not intending to judge anyone. Just making a point.

Yep, the majority of people won't have a clue by the weekend.

Probably will be forgotten by the mainstream, but not by those it impacted directly. I know my wife still busts my chops about stuff that happened years ago. :)

I completely understand the wife part!

Idiots

15,000 of the 32 million people who were members of AshleyMadison.com had provided .gov or .mil email addresses.

The amount peoe that use their work email address to sign up for personal ish is astounding.

Man... F that site.

Somehow or another a pop up from that site made its way through and was just hanging out for my wife to find the next time she used the computer.

She first became convinced I was trying to cheat on her and once she finally got over that one of her idiot coworkers convinced her that if it was a pop up, it had to have been because I was looking at porn

Luckily for me, one randomly popped up while she was using the computer. I figured we'd picked up some mal-ware somewhere. I had neighbor come over (usually if restarting it doesn't fix the problem then it's over my head) and make the necessary adjustments. Apparently it had snuck in with some alphabet program I'd downloaded for my daughter. I've always felt that was a combination of the sleaziest and the most brilliant marketing moves I've ever seen.

Either way... F that site. It can go to hell.

I don't have any problem with kids learning the truth about how their parents are lying, cheating, disloyal *******s. They should have used the brain in their head rather than the one in their pants before making the decision to cheat at all.

I personally couldn't care less about the data stolen with regard to this situation. I didn't steal it and it's not in my hands. These people knew what site they were going to and they knew why they were going to it.

As for all data being eligible for release at any time... it's already a reality.

I feel bad for the guy who is in an open marriage and now has his information out there and everybody has the wrong idea about him.

Also feel bad for people that had fixed their past mistakes.

Apparently hackers have dumped all account email addresses. Does anyone have a link so I can search this? I've looked on 4chan but all I see are comments and no links to data. Seriously I need this for work

I guarantee you that the way 4chan recycles thread ideas the mega upload link will eventually pop up at some point today or if you see a thread about it just ask for it, but I would run it through every scan there is before I downloaded it

I always get Ashley Madison popups but I watch porn 24/7.

I heard this am that 25% of the Ottawa population had an account.

The AM website is based in Canada.

And, the website owners have offered a $378k USD reward for info on the hacker who released the info.

I've got a plan! I'll turn you in, you confess, and we'll split the money!

if its that bad. man up and tell your spouse. the damage is minimized, seems it would be catastrophic if laid to fester...

still yet. i guess in my mind, i cannot see any rhyme or logical reason any person would feel 'anonymous' by doing anything online.

these people should have the sack to use tender or just go meet someone at a bar, hell get a hooker. dont hide behind a curtain. also read that a lot of these folk were in the military. sad day.

utterly ridiculous.
