After yesterdays loss, its clear that Hamilton made the correct decision.

After a week of hearing about how "awful" this fire was from the uninformed who still haven't realized that the University of Tennessee is a educational institution rather than a football team, maybe this will shut their mouths. Nothing like losing to lowly Wyoming to put things into perspective.

Let's just hope we get a coach who might be able to pick off a few decent recruits next year, because we may just need to get an entirely new team out there on the field.

Yep, forty acres and a mule.

I think we should let Fulmer practice EVERYONE only on Defense this week and next. Then for the Vandy and Kentucky game, we won't have to worry about defense running out of gas. Just put in a new batch every other series.

Let the offense "do their thing" throw in a quick kick on 3rd down here and there and let's see what the difference between that and our current gameplan would be....

I'm thinking you couldn't tell the difference.

:lolabove: I actually like that idea. You know the silly thing is that if we would have ran the single wing this year we could actually be 4-6 maybe 5-5.

I think the 98 season warrants that the fans are kind, but, on the other hand, he and Sexton sure did manipulate a weak Hamilton/Peterson and sucked a 3 mil buyout from UT. That takes away some of the clamor/pagentry for me on the Phil Fulmer Day. Compare 3 mil buyout to Texas Tech coach Leak buyout 500,000.

He knows he doesnt deserve that extension..... but of course he is taking it anyways. That gut wrenching performance on Saturday just shows Hamilton was right in his decision, and that PF and his staff failed miserably with this team.

absolutely. if I can find tix to the Kentucky game...I'll be there screaming my voice away for coach Fulmer. it sure is time for him to go, but I can't wait to be there to support him at his last game ever as HC of his alma mater.

Maybe some of that Kung Fu music when Kwi Chang is walking out in the desert.

Regardless of Fulmer's money deal, I don't think it serves anyone well, the college, the team, or Fulmer to do anything less than send him off respectfully.

Regardless of his recent record of the past several years, he still deserves a ton of respect for his SEC championships and his National Championship.

Fulmer is a good man, a respectable man, and one who brought a great deal of respect to the university and to the team over the years.

So I do believe his time has passed but he doesn't deserve anything less than for everyone to focus on his successes and not to remember him for the last few years.

Just my opinion.
