We can handle Butler. We just have to respect them as a team that could easily hand us our asses. And by we I mean the players who sleepwalked through today's game.

We don't turn the ball over, we shoot lights out (yes, we can shoot like that two games in a row, if you let us), and we play tough defense. We play at a very slow pace, and force you to defend for 35 seconds, every time up the floor. South Alabama handed us that game when they decided to stop defending the perimeter.

You're crazy if you think you're shooting 54% from three two games in a row!!! Oh, and if "shoot lights out" is 37% from three for the year then you are below American (our last opponent) and about the same as UT from 3 point range.

Sounds similar to our game against Kentucky in Knoxville.

Clearly you missed that "if you let us" part, and that second part where I mentioned that USA didn't defend the 3 point line. Go check out what we did non-conference and in the Great Alaska Shootout....our conference opponents who know how we play are far more effective at shutting down our offense than any big six school we've played.

No South Alabama probably shouldn't even have been playing you. Butler is a good team, as noted before they should have been seeded significantly higher than they were. That being said if we can speed the game up on our end and create turnovers depth can be an issue for you.

I truly think Butler is a good team that was jobbed a bit on the seed. BUT, they did not even beat ONE tourney team. We had 12 wins against tourney teams.

That doesn't mean that much once your in the tourny though. At this point everything before means nothing. Play to survive and fight again.

I agree, and like I said Butler is a very good team. Let's just not crown them an elite team based on this one game against South Bama. I think it takes a very good game from UT to beat them, but if we play well we should win.

If we play like we can we'll win. If we play like today, they will wipe the floor with us.

Just a reminder, Pearl has experience against Butler, and I expect he will have the VOLS ready. Butler, however, is PO'd with a #7 seed and those kids (quite a few born and bred Hoosiers) won't be afraid of VOLS.

I still expect a Vol win in a very close game.

a 6'7" inch player named Campbell who drained, what, 11 treys today--and is shooting 44 percent from beyond the stripe? Lofton is shooting bricks and this kid, much taller, is knocking down everything. UT plays well, they win; the play average, they lose. Butler plays a style that could give the Vols problems.

from looking at the box score, it looks as though JP or Tyler are gonna have to get a hand in this Campbell kids face that hit 8-10 threes today. 8-10..damn

hey guys, (butler fan) just wanted to say it looks to be a good game sunday, both teams are clearly sweet 16 teams so its too bad it works out this way. But in terms of our shooting, evening if campbell shoots poorly there is graves, and then you might want to look at the performance of betko a couple of weeks back. What makes them good is how well rounded they are, grave, green and howard, are all significant threats, and on defense, well they are very good. Either way can't wait for the game
