Snubbed!!!

If my math is correct, a 6 seed means that the selection committee does not think we are a top 25 team in the nation. What a joke!!! Here's to you NCAA: :finger3:

First, you need to go back and take first grade math over.

Second, we're probably not a top 25 team to be honest.

14th RPI
18 SOS
13-6 in conference games
Only team in the country to beat a #1 and #2 team.

Our road to the final four means we have to beat SDSU, Georgetown, Ohio State, and Kansas. 3 conference winners and 4 conference finals teams. It doesn't look good.

I should have seen it coming with the blowout and last two years seedings. I still thought we would be a 5 at worst. We could easily lose in the first round even if we play a good game.

It means we are anywhere from the like the 21st to 24th best team if my math is correct

You are correct (appx. 24th).

So a team that wins 25 games, beats the top 2 seeded teams in the tourney, and spends the entire season in the 7th-18th rankings (consistently around 13th) gets a 6 seed.

The selection committee just told Tennessee to go eff themselves. I don't care what happened against UK... we were a 4 seed before the SEC tourney started.

I'd like to see the explanation for this one.

not against your anger

but obviously, if we're a 6 now, we weren't a 4 seed before the SEC tourney

Couple of things, the fact that the committee has Notre Dame ahead of us among 6's is a load of bull crap, it truly is. Just one more reason to hate ND. As for the snub. I'm going to say something unpopular and get flamed for it I know, but guys you don't get your butts handed to you by a bad USC team, a below average Georgia team, and lose 5 of your 8 games by 11 points or more, you don't have to worry about it. I thought we were a lock for a five, but I just get the feeling that the committee is getting payback for a couple of years ago when we got the 2 seed and the national media cried about how ridiculous that seed was. Let's just hope they use this as fuel, and come out and play their best basketball of the season.

I think blowout loses at pathetic USC, at Vandy, in the SEC tournament, at a pathetic UGA gave the committee reason to not trust what we bring. They chose the potential to lay an egg over confidence we'd compete against anyone. I don't have a problem with that based on those 4 really bad loses.

We're in - just go win and give us a thrill ride.
