Snow in Destin?

I don't know. The sand is snow white. Our daughter and granddaughter were going to fly back to Nashville today, but SW cancelled the flight and moved her to tomorrow. So, no snow today and it's supposed to snow tomorrow. 1-3 inches.
I hate to look to see if that one has now been cancelled.
Another reason I avoid SW airlines.

Houston shut down Hobby and Bush. NOLA pretty much shut down Armstrong. They just dont have deicing equipment needed down there on the coast......

SW is one of the most efficient and consistent of them IMO. Of course, BNA is a SW Hub.

They are getting rid of all the miracle flights later this year......

Miracle flight = People running through the airport to get to gate, they become disabled, get priority boarding, and they are magically healed at the end of their flight.

I flew from MEM to Hobby. 58 people claimed they needed early boarding. Person at airport came on and said due to staffing shortages at Hobby, all preboarders needed to be in back of the plane. 53 of the 58 were immediately healed....

I hope you’re talking about de-icing the tarmac because planes can get ice on them from their origination points or from high altitude

We go to Gulf Shores every other year and one of our friends we've made down there sent us pics of it snowing on the beach. Crazy weather!

We saw that in line at the airport. Tiffany can't handle that much walking and standing. They'd move us to that line, never asked, and between boarding and the destination, most people were magically healed.

Never thought I’d see that. If anyone is familiar with the area the Hathaway bridge will have a million wrecks on it.

Im absolutely OK with those that legitimately need the extra time to board early. On a non Southwest flight approximately 10 people would preboard. On Southwest flights out of Memphis, its 50-60 people at a minimum....

People abusing this slows up the entire flight and it really hurts those that legitimatwly need the extra time/resources to board...

Yeah my dad lives near Columbus GA and they’re supposed have no equipment. Back in 89 there was snow and there was a million wrecks on the Hathaway bridge. People are dumb.

It's the planes, to remove ice from the wings and control surfaces before takeoff. It's important, to put it mildly. The planes have mechanisms designed to get rid of ice that accumulates during flight. Ice can reduce the amount of lift that air passing the wings creates and lead to a stall and crash.

I understand all that, I was responding to the comment that areas in the south don’t have de-icing equipment.
