Snap Judgements about Florida

They are better but I don't think the gap is as large as you seem to. Gators have the better defense.

OU can score more in a half then we might score all season, so, I think it is a given that their offensive is better than ours.

Our defense is as far ahead of OU's as their offense is ahead of ours.

IF UF played OU in a neutral setting, we would almost certainly lose by 5-7.

I am honestly a little shocked that there is not more confidence in UT this season. Our O-line basically has 4 underclassmen starting this week. IF ever there is a year that the streak should end it is this one.

I am a true UF homer, so I am still picking us, but this game has to be darn near a push imo.....

Gosh we need this W, for so many reasons. It sets the trajectory for the rest of the season IMO, especially the next 2 weeks.

I was hoping so but we couldn't even get pressure or a sack against WCU

I wouldn't say that our defensive line failed against WCU. Most of their pass plays hinged on quick routes that didn't give time for any pass rush to develop. Also they only attempted 22 passes, while attempting 33 rushes. With the exception of one long TD run in garbage time they hardly had any run game at all.

They got NFL talent on the DL and there CB is a top 15 pick, so there Defense is good, there Offense is a work in progress, so its easy to figure out who is going to win, i think in the last 15 games we played them the team that has the most rushing yards has won this game 13 out of 15 times, so if we stop the run we should be in good shape, this game will come down to the wire like 20-17 so get your  ready.

Agreed. Need Medley to be Wilhoit-esque.

We allowed an average of 5.8 yards per play and no pressures or sacks against a D2 team. Not what I would call a stellar performance

First off they are a D1 school.

Let's just cherry pick a stat without telling the whole story why don't we. They netted 189 yards on 33 rushing attempts. Their leading rusher had 10 attempts for 128 yards. (Sounds awful right). Well literally half of his yards came on one 64 yard touchdown run in garbage time. So you can't exactly blame our starters or even two deep defense for that play. So let's take it out of consideration. Suddenly they go to 3.9 yards per carry. You also can take note that they went 1 for 12 on third down conversions with a grand total of 9 first downs the entire game. I'm sorry that the defense allowed them to do anything but go backwards the entire game, clearly our team is awful.

Also, literally every healthy non-redshirt player on our team played. We emptied the bench and played lots of 3rd and 4th stringers on both sides. WCU had two runs which totaled about 110 yards, against backup defense. Take that away, and they did very little. Nothing I saw in that particular game on either side of the ball causes me to worry.

So it's not at all concerning to you that you e produced zero pressure to a high school team? Because it sure is alarming to me. Add former players Daniel Hood and Will Overstreet to the mix as well. Bottom line, our d line ain't getting it done
