Yeah, I know, "You make your own luck" but I've never seen such a long streak of bad luck. Yes, we're getting out-played but like the announcers are saying, UT is beating UT. Interceptions don't count because of penalties, stripping the QB of the ball and it bounces right back to the TE for a TD, Holyfield drops the ball and it comes right back to him, etc. etc. etc. And that doesn't count last week against UF. These aren't mental errors. They're just bad luck. I hope that when it changes, it will change in a fury!

I would call negating a interception with an encroachment penalty a mental error

You could make a 90-minute highlight reel on the incredible plays that have gone against UT in just the past 5 years - 2 of them today.

We had some bad luck today but you’re also forgetting the 2 UGA dropped TD passes and their 2 overthrows on wide open receivers that would have been TDS too.

Next up is Auburn, right? Sounds like the perfect opportunity!

And I thought Dooley was the unluckiest coach ever.

You’re forgetting that UGA’s qb got his chest caved in on his first pass attempt and didn’t get a lot of relief for much of the game. We got a long way to go but it’s not all bad today.

The interception only happened because of the offsides penalty. They were just taking a shot because it was a free play.

If there was no offsides there then it would have been a different play.

But yes I agree. We are literally cursed. Maybe it's a bad omen to have a Bama coach coaching for UT.

We aren’t a cursed team, just a bad one. Football games aren’t won or lost on a single play so having a few bad bounces just means we have to be better to win. “Bad luck” has been a part of the game for so long that Neyland included it in his Maxims.
If at first the game - or the breaks - go against you, don't let up... put on more steam.

Let’s look at the first fumble turned into a TD if it happened against a team like Bama. The TE doesn’t break the LB’s tackle at the 15. They hold UGA on the next 3 plays and force a field goal. Bad luck is the ball bouncing to the TE. Bad football is not being able to tackle him.
