28-7. Lost a lot of great players from last year's team. After losing last week in overtime seem to be back on track. Play Riverdale away this Friday. Big game.

That game was horrible. Brentwood must be really young because they only ran 6 or 7 different offensive plays. I think Smyrna will struggle this year though because their defense is suspect. They looked pretty small but benefited from Brentwood's offensive restrictions.
With that being said, Brentwood gets more help from the officials than any team in Middle Tennessee. Smyrna got robbed on some mystery calls in the 3rd quarter.

I went to Brentwood, Played in 2003, the year after they won the 5A title. We routinely beat Smyrna then, though it was always a good game. That was before Ravenwood, which is formed entirely from kids that would have been playing at BHS. I still wish instead of building a new school they would have put the money into expanding Brentwood; that would have made us a permanent powerhouse.

If Smyrna plays anything like they did against BGA this one could turn out like the '07 regular season game against Riverdale where they lost by about 49 and the 'dale didn't throw the ball once (of course that season turned out fine). They struggled to stop the run and Riverdale is as good as they've been in several years. I'm not overly optimistic about this one.

Because Centennial taking away from Franklin was totally fair right? Now Independence does the same thing too. Stop crying about Ravenwood.

I wish Centennial hadn't pulled from Franklin, buddy. I never said that was fair. And if Brentwood and Franklin were both at their original sizes that rivalry would be even better than it already is. That's why Riverdale's always so good, its because they have such a large student body from which to draw their athletes. No reason to be hostile.

I'm sorry, but this claim is ridiculous. I'm not a Riverdale fan by any means, but there are 4 schools in Murfreesboro (which has about twice the population of Brentwood when you take out college students). So, the enrollments are about the same - which is why both are 6A schools.

Centennial came first. Brentwood pushed for that. Then Ravenwood. Brentwood didn't want Ravenwood and tried to do the expansion thing rather than have the school split. It still makes old school Franklin guys like me pissed.

Now Independence pulls from Franklin as well.
