I guess we should not have kept voting for Purdue, which I thought would help us. It looks the Nebraska fans saw how we tightened up their race and decided to really get out the vote. This is basically a Nebraska/UT race. Crap.

Yep, Nebraska is definitely carrying UMASS. I don't like that vote for 2 teams for just that reason. Oh well. Fitting for this season.

Ok people, this thing is over tomorrow and Smokey is down by around 8,000 votes. I know that some of you don't care about it and that's fine. Go vote anyway. If you have a little extra time, clear the cookies and vote a few times. We can't lose to that stupid UMASScot. How embarrassing would that be??

We lost......darn the loopholes in the information age. Now we see firsthand how credible this is. I know UMass and UN are all hyped about this but it's really for nothing.

I say that we all start voting for the UMASScot. They only won because of Nebraska...

Like I said earlier, it's fitting for the season we had. Lose 6 games and now this. :ermm:

Something to keep in mind...

While this year's Final 4 Playoff format was new, Monty, the mascot of Montana, my alma mater, won the first two years of this contest, and Monty lost the popular vote pretty bad last year... In fact, Monty came in 2nd in the voting to the Delaware mascot, and Deleware won the only Divsion 1 NC currently going.

So, it's not all about the popular vote- the judges still have their say, and they (based on 2003 and 04) have pretty good taste.
