Looks like a bot attack from Singapore/China. I've updated some firewall rules in an attempt to block. Let me know if it's better or you're still having issues after this point. I'm continuing to monitor.

You weren't far off. It wasn't a DNS attack, but bots from Tencent Cloud in China were hammering the server. I've got it under control for now. Let me know if you guys notice it happening again.

I'm doing a server synch with a new server that we're moving to soon, so that's probably the cause today. Let me know if it's still happening after today. Thanks.
