How do we think that silent committments exist? Well, recruit "A" tells Auburn that he is committed to them and the Auburn staff believe it. In fact, he is actually silently committed to U.T. Well, on signing day, he signs with U.T. and Auburn is shocked.
Reference??? Nu Keese RIchardson!!! He had Gators thinking he was a committment, but he was silently committed to U.T.

I agree with what you are saying, but your example is wrong. I know this for a fact that NuKeese decided the night before NSD to sign with Vols with basically this thought "F*** it, I am going to UT" He called several other guys in that class and told them he was going there and that they all shouuld go and start something big. This comes directly from a friend of Nuke's and someone who got one of those phone calls.
