Skeeter...

With Timmy Jernigan back on again for a visit next weekend, do you have any feel about what our chances are with him?? Supposedly he is enamored with Coach Chuck Smith (who has done incredible work with recruits this year), but realistically is he as much of a long shot as it would appear??

Also, any new thoughts about Maggitt?? He and Jernigan would both be surprises that would look great in orange.

May thanks for all the info you have given us.

yeah he really likes coach smith, he also formed a friendship with dawson at the army bowl. it will be his last visit and he could fall in love with the place. fsu appears to be the favorite at the moment

I don't want to rain on eveybodys Skeeter parade, and I realize this is great info, I appreciate him taking the risk to give us some insight into what the staff is thinking/doing. The flipside to that is like what happened with JC Copeland and Ralph Williams last year. Those guys straight up lied to the coaching staff about their intentions the weekend before signing day. Just because the staff beleives recruits are going to sign with UT doesn't mean they will, even if they swear up and down they are going to. Just remember that if somebody skeeter says is coming, doesn't. It doesn't make him any less credible.

well, if you think about it, being wrong could hurt your credibility

I'm really glad I wasn't the only person who thought about this......

Thanks Skeeter!!! this info is GREAT and I hope it all comes true.:loco:
me also, I busted out laughing and my lil boy was like what's so funny.

How do we think that silent committments exist? Well, recruit "A" tells Auburn that he is committed to them and the Auburn staff believe it. In fact, he is actually silently committed to U.T. Well, on signing day, he signs with U.T. and Auburn is shocked.
Reference??? Nu Keese RIchardson!!! He had Gators thinking he was a committment, but he was silently committed to U.T.
If it happens to other schools, it can happen to us!!!!

this happens to every school every year and it will always happen, I would like to believe everyone else knows this could very well happen to us vol fans too. Let's hope for the best to play out on NSD.

Skeeter, when you come back could you shed some light on some of the '12 recruits the coaches are high on? Just curious how far out our coaches start evaluating.

First time poster and extremely thankful for Skeeter. Man I hope this class works out as good as it is sounding!

Very good news on Timmy. I really hope he ends up at UT -- he very well may be the best DT out there.

Thanks Skeeter

Has anybody thought that the reason tino thomas is looking hard at Southern miss is because we felt like we might get both orta and moore?

No, I think Moore is going to Miami. Somebody in Miami's program leaked he committed to Miami earlier today, but Moore wanted the spotlight and said he didn't commit anywhere and would be announcing this week. It seems very similar to Maurice Couch's situation, expect Moore to announce for the Canes.

Orta was Moore's backup plan. Tino is probably looking for early playing time, which I don't think he will get at UT, although we definitely want him.

Did Moore tell you this?
