I don't want to rain on eveybodys Skeeter parade, and I realize this is great info, I appreciate him taking the risk to give us some insight into what the staff is thinking/doing. The flipside to that is like what happened with JC Copeland and Ralph Williams last year. Those guys straight up lied to the coaching staff about their intentions the weekend before signing day. Just because the staff beleives recruits are going to sign with UT doesn't mean they will, even if they swear up and down they are going to. Just remember that if somebody skeeter says is coming, doesn't. It doesn't make him any less credible.

Agree with what you are saying completely. However, skeeter has mentioned that the staff can be skeptical of some recruits (i.e. Gabe Wright). It seems like they have taken that into consideration and have set up a few backup plans just in case.

Who is this new dude Skeeter with all the ridiculously DL info?! Can you tell us anything, of course nothing too incriminating, about yourself & how/why you know so much?

Just to be sure, I'm not challenging you, bro. This is NOT a call out, cause I appreciate all the insight. Just wondering who this dude is that has all the dirt in only 1 month as a member basically. : )

Skeeter is an honest guy. If he's the same skeeter I know of he's been posting on the ESPN forum for a few years now. Had a lot of good info that was true.

He's not new. He posted before NSD a bit last year. He just usually doesn't post very often.

The situation last year was completely different than this year though considering the timing of the coaching staff change. Those kids didn't know the new staff at all. And as far as Copeland went, they lost out on him because of the violations Kiffin committed during his recruitment. It stopped Dooley and the other assistants from ever getting an in-home with him down the stretch.

Yea, I used to post here a lot. Havent been very active on any forums lately though. I still read here, ESPN, and another forum every day, but just haven't had much to post.

I know that. You missed my point. My point is even if skeet has staff info, it doesn't mean that it's true, simply because these kids will baldfaced lie to coaches sometimes. I agree that the staff has a better handle this year on recruits for the reasons you mentioned. I just will not be shocked if someone the coaches feel comfortable with backs out.

Yeah that would not be a surprise at all. It happens just about every year with at least a few recruits as far as Tennessee goes.

Thanks a bunch for all the updates skeeter, you are truly doing the lord's work here on VN. Since both UT and the Barn believe that Gabe Wright is silent to them, any feel for how confident UT is in what they've been told?

I would also like to know this....I don't recall this ever being clarified. It's been discussed ad nauseum but I don't know that anyone brought anything concrete to the table....

Skeeter...

With Timmy Jernigan back on again for a visit next weekend, do you have any feel about what our chances are with him?? Supposedly he is enamored with Coach Chuck Smith (who has done incredible work with recruits this year), but realistically is he as much of a long shot as it would appear??

Also, any new thoughts about Maggitt?? He and Jernigan would both be surprises that would look great in orange.
