some quick thoughts, courtesy of the new Cingular Blackjack: 1. LSU is finished. They show no evidence of having been coached. 2. Jordan Howell continues to prove people like me wrong. Another solid, steady contribution to a big win. 3. Dane Bradshaw must get a red light. He just cannot shoot the basketball. 4. Ramar Smith will be one of the five best players in the SEC next year. 5. Our inside guys did a great job on Glenn Davis. He got nothing easy. Overall, a monumental win.

Look at hatvol, going blaker on us!

Loving the big shots by Howell.

I doubt hatvol's phone allows him to teleport, time-travel, and see alternate dimensions where the outcomes of basketball are different than in our own universe.

I was shocked that Tennessee's press worked so well on them. Just about every team this year has been ready for it while LSU looked like they weren't even expecting it.

I'm agreeing on all 5 points...(despite Dane's slump) life is good in Big Orange Country tonight!

LSU's guards are so bad, it does not matter if they are prepared for a press or not. At one point, the Tigers had no pure guards on the floor. Misjudging the value of Tack Minor has crippled that program.

Glenn Davis was sucking wind tonight..
hell, he should be. he was taking the ball up the court all night and having to drive to the basket all night. he never got established down low....at one point in the second half, he was just standing there, moving from one side of the paint, to the other.....it was rather pitiful to watch actually.

I venture out to Pres Pub every now and then myself. Nice place. You've got a beer coming from me, Hat, if I see you there.

4. Ramar Smith will be one of the five best players in the SEC next year.

???

2007-2008 SEC

Assuming Kimberly, Brewer, and Horford go pro

Not in order
1.Lofton
2.Jamont Gordon, Miss St
3.Toreen Green, UF (Not sure if NBA prospect, but I suspect at 6'0" would come back)
4.JuJuan Smith (7th in league scoring)
5.Hendrix, Bama

Randolph Morris may come back, as well as Joe Crawford, and they have that little Charley Murphy who can play. Steele at Alabama, Foster at Vandy, and there's Beverly at Arkansas.

Anthony Randolph will be a Fr at LSU, already hearing NBA talk with him. Alabama, Florida, and LSU all have pretty good classes already.

I think Ramar fits in with the second group of guys.

That second group, especially Joe Crawford, couldn't hold Ramar's jock... Morris is already an NBA player, he'll probably finally go too. Foster and Beverly? Please.

I will be way unhappy if it ends up being shut down because of the whole mess with Scott West. The frau and I wander downtown for a pint there just about every time we're back up in Knoxville; a lovely place. They sometimes have a lovely pint of Guinness, depending on who's behind the bar, and usually a couple of other nice beers as well. If Knoxville had had a few more places with beer like that when I got out of school, I just might still be there...

Big win tonight for the Vols!

Foster, maybe, but you cannot say Ramar is straight up better than Beverly. Beverly averages 14ppg, 4.6rpg, 3.5apg, 1.9steals pg, which ranks 4th in the league, shoots 45% from behind the 3 point line, which is also 4th in the league. Ramar is averaging 10ppg, 3.4rpg, 3apg, 0.9 steals per game, shoots 43%, mostly driving to the basket (see layups), and shoots 30% on threes. Beverly is better than Ramar right now.
