Preseason rankings mean very little anymore. I don’t really care what the perception the AP pollsters of us happens to be. I was talking public perception, and again most media outlets agreed with our decision. Most of the general public agreed with our decision. Oh believe me I don’t kid myself, but frankly I don’t care what the AP thinks. Yes if Nico did great and Tennessee struggled some media outlets would love it. Tell me something I don’t know. But the national public perception of UT did not take a hit, it was overwhelmingly supported. National media outlets have always been biased, tell me something new. I put more stock in the coaches poll, and if we take care of business the polls or poll will take care of itself. It’s where your at when the first playoff poll comes out that it gets serious. GBO!!!!

Yes, but, it worked out in UT's favor for once! I am glad Aguilar is at UT. I am sure most fans are. I think all fans will be mid to end of season!

Reducing to one window is a good first step in helping correcting this mess. Next up let’s make it one transfer only without some cost such as sitting out a year or something similar.

It is amazing that so many of you believe that the players should get to make their own rules.

An employer can put limitations on a new employee - you don't get to walk in and demand where you sit, what you are allowed to take part in, when you get a promotion, etc. If you don't like it, you are free to leave.

If the collective universities agree they are going to allow only new transfers to come on board for the next year in a specific window of time - the university as the authority on who is allowed to partake in activities associated with their school, most definitely have the right to tell the player they have to wait. The question is whether the NCAA is considered as the governing body that is allowed to speak for the collective universities in this manner. Like the SEC is out there to govern markets and ensure fairness, the NCAA was established to govern competition in a fair, safe and equitable manner across the universities.

This all is a mess right now - it not benefiting the sports, the players or the universities.

We should start hedging bets for which players are going to demand more money after the New Year. He's a heck of a talent but I'd be shocked if Boo doesn't stir the pot again after the season.
