I personally think the Georgia game may be the most important game of 2016 for the Vols

I also think Georgia will be the most talented team in the east


I know many on VN will say Florida and or Alabama



What game do you think is the most important for team 120 and why?

The next one is always the most important and they get more important as the season progresses.

The most difficult, yes. I think that beating Fla and/or Bama may be more important, but it depends on how you define important.

Beating Florida is probably the most important no matter how you look at it.

For the players the most important game is always the current opponent. Never look ahead.
For the fans it is most likely Florida. I wouldn't sleep on little Appy State though! VOLS better play a better opening game than they did against BGSU last year. That WR corps for BGSU shredded VOLS secondary last year.

Florida Gators.

The gator's because it's been so long beating them and we are 14 point's better than them and we gave the last 2 away in the 4th quarter, we can't lose to them this year or we will be in a downward spin, this will be the biggest game in the regular season that i can remember in 47 year's as fan, i hope this coaching staff can handle the pressure because they know it to.

The next one. It's the one that holds all my interest once we're in the season, and it's the one that holds all the interest of the coaches and players.

Always the next one.


p.s. If you wanted to talk about the most challenging, or the most interesting, or the most exciting, those would be different questions. But you did ask about the most important.

Last time we beat them... Middle schoolers were just being born.

Florida...because I'm still not convinced we can get over that mental hurdle...until I see it actually happen.

Agree. I think this is fairly obvious. I don't care how good our leadership is. If we lose to Florida again, I don't see how we can regroup in time to go down to Georgia and beat them.

The coach-speak answer would be "the next one is the most important" or "they all count the same", but when you take the season in totality, the most important game for us in 2016 is Florida, and it's not even close.

End the Streak. Gain momentum entering the 4 game that tough 4 game SEC stretch of UF, UGA, ATM, and Bama.

Lose to UF and lose all momentum. It will be tough for the staff and team to reenergize and get focused going into Athens.

Appy State in the most important game for the Vols after that it's Va Tech, then Ohio, Florida and Georgia, ect, until the season is over!

Florida but not for the reasons mentioned prior...

Florida is the first game of our brutal 4 game stretch. If you put GA, Alabama, or Texas A&M in that slot, that automatically becomes the most important game imo. It sets the tone for the season.
