Not claiming these are great photos, but I snapped a few at the UT-VU match on Saturday in Nashville. UT won, 11-9.

Por Que?

and a Lax weekend recap...

couple of big wins for the Vols this weekend. after a lackluster start, Vols overcome 7-4 halftime deficit and beat Vandy by a score of 11-9. This keeps our slim hopes of selc tourney alive.

Sunday was a potential trap game as an improving tennessee wesleyan team came to Knoxville. Vols took care of their business though, winning 11-8.

Freshman keeper Jordan Blazer has a pretty good weekend, 25 save vs Vandy and 22 vs TWC

Well done Vols Lax. Some of my best times at UT were as a member of the Vols squads in 91, 92 and 93. Actually played a home game in Neyland one year. I dislocated my shoulder that game in the first quarter and my lacrosse career came to a screeching halt. I was the president of the team that year and convinced Doug Dickey to let us play in the stadium. It is a little different environment with 100 spectators in the seats rather than 100,000. Congrats and keep it up.

VolsNSkinsFan: Are they still selling merchandise as in years past. I am having a hard time squeezing into my lax shorts from the early nineties. Not a pretty site.

Thanks for posting LAX info. Do you have any info on the girls LAX club? My daughter would like to play, if she gets accepted to UT this fall.

Hate to ask a dumb question, but is Lax a club sport or NCAA at UT?

A handful of yrs ago, alot of schools dropped Lax, to get complient on title 9.

I went to Towson Univ in Baltimore... we've got a decent team, but can't seem to get over the hump (although our history does include a final 4 a handful of years ago, and a title game in 91ish)

I would have loved to learn how to play back in the day. But that sport was not around in Asheville, NC during the 80's.

i believe its a club. i play in knoxville and occasionally a player or 2 will stop by acting like they are the best thing since sliced bread

Who do you play for in Knoxville? I play for Hume Fogg in Nashville. We just started our team last year so we've been getting hammered, but we are already better than Hillsboro, Notre Dame and Signal Mountain who started at the same time. I actually think Hillsboro started a team 10 years ago or so.

But Vandy has a good team this year. They have had some impressive wins. Good win for the Vols.
