My own personal conspiracy theory
OSU board knew Urban was culpable in the Zack Harrison saga but limited the scope of the investigation, and the results, while agreeing to keep the lid on it if Urban agreed to a plan that allowed him to bow out and save face.

Anyone with a miniscule amount of interest could find huge holes in the investigation. It was nothing but smoke and mirrors doing damage control. Seems to have worked pretty well, so far.

I beat the OSU winning drops off w/o Urban.

Aka...see Florida, see Utah.

He is/was a very good coach despite his mental issues and lack of ethics.
A lack of a value system opens up a lot of options that aren't available to those that have them. That is not an aspect of a great coach unless rings are the only standard. Which is true for a lot of folks, not hating. I'm just not one of them.

I'm not sure Meyer isn't as good a coach as he could be politician. He, and those that support him, are as a fine example of a cancer in CFB today as I know.

Heck yeah! It was like, who the hell does TN think they are that they should pass on such a great coach/opportunity, yet are silent as a cotton ball falling on foam while everyone else just kindly decline to give him any consideration. F' em all.
F### booger McFarland....we know who the hell we are....and why wouldn't we revolt...and i didn't actually...we are tired of the movers and shakers not giving a rats a$$ when making hires and deciding the future of our program.

I still don't understand how Penn State has a program after that fiasco and how anyone who coached there that wasn't on the record of reporting the situation to police still has a job. Anyone that's ever heard workplace gossip should know that there is no way that a Pedophile does his business in the team showers and it doesn't get talked about with everyone in the building. And when there is smoke, there is usually fire.

And nearly every Ohio State fan is trash for backing up Schiano the pedophile apologist and Myer for covering up domestic abuse.

So you would award all of the football players that had NOTHING to do with an incident that happened with someone that wasn't even associated with the Athletic Department with cancelling their program? Nice guy.

I know, I know, beating a dead horse, but the Vol fanbase did right by our program and our university by not standing for this hire:

From an Ohio State Board:

Sounds like we were about to fire Butch and hire Butch 2.0

I disagree about why he didnt get the job, even if all that is true, only because he DID get the job. UT gave it to him and because of the PSU outrage from the public, UT had to back off.

this story was completely told when OSU didnt put him in charge when Meyer was suspended, or give him the HC job when Meyer quit.

People outside of the UT fan base (including Herbstreit) think this guy who isnt good enough for a school like OSU should have been plenty good enough for UT, like we are somehow second class to OSU.

If Ray Rice never existed we wouldn't be having to talk about Schiano. I didn't need to know anything other than him having players try to blow up victory formations to know I didn't want anything to do with him.
There are reasons he hasn't been more vocal about clearing his name and depending on some of the 'good ole boys' to take care of him as one of their own.
The attempt by Schiano's Tampa Bay teams to hurt the opposing teams QB while they were in Victory formations was the reason I was against the hire. I did not know if the PSU allegations were valid but his short tenure at Tampa Bay as HC was a joke.
