I would say by mid-week at the latest. With the early signing period, I don't think they can wait much longer than that.

I only list Tee as a bad hire because of his lack of experience. With 3 or 4 more years of experience as an OC and HCIW, he could become great hire.

Likely not in the next day or two. UT wants out of the news and time to let things cool down and make this circus stop. I would imagine Monday at the earliest. Definitely before next weekend though. Want to get the new coach in place with enough time to make some headway before the early signing period.

You’re on the right track. Make contact with the top names like Peterson and even Gruden - if just to get their thoughts and network. The bar is Leach — go no lower at this point, but if he can reel in an even better more qualified coach in 2 Days, then do it
